Hi, I'm Ankit!
It's nice to meet you too. What's my greatest strength you ask? It's my balanced approach to life.

Traits That Define Me
Fairness & Equality: Everyone deserves their fair share and the freedom to choose their path.
Integrity: Be a person of your words and speak the truth.
Empathy: Treat every living soul with kindness and minimize your harm to your environment.
Authenticity: There is nothing more powerful than accepting your true self.
Transparency: Building trust and long-lasting relationships requires transparency from the stakeholders.
Emotional Intelligence: Perhaps the most important skill, it helps me build long-lasting relationships.
Leadership and Management: I understand the difference between leadership and management.
Creative Problem Solving: Whether it's a technical problem or something in day-to-day life, I put my "scrappy" mindset to work.
Business Strategy and Implementation: I enjoy setting the direction and getting my hands dirty.
Technological Depth: Technology is a means to an end and not an end in itself. My holistic view on technology may be divisive, but deep down you know that technology cannot solve everything.
Environmental Sustainability: I'm a systems thinker and my solutions combine nature and society to make each stronger.
Nature-Based Solutions: We don't need to destroy one part of our planet to restore or preserve another.
Land and Ecosystem Restoration: I'm a huge proponent of Permaculture Design and its principles.
Root Cause Analysis: It's a way of life, as is perfection. I practice root cause analysis on most problems I face, just out of curiosity.
Direct and Concise Communication: Because life is too short, and I like to speak my mind.
My Experiences
Yes, backgrounds and experiences are important, but they don't define who we are or limit what we can do!

MBA Capstone Project
Project Mercy, an organization based in Ethiopia has been empowering the local communities in and around Yetebon for three generations by addressing the holistic needs of every human being. Through a set of complementary programs, they focus on five areas of impact - education, nutrition, health, infrastructure, and economic empowerment.

This was not included in the scope of work, but I enjoyed sharing some Bollywood moves with the students of Project Mercy primary school.
We also visited and learned about SHOFCO (Shining Hope for Communities), a movement that started in Kibera, a slum in Nairobi, Kenya.
Kennedy was surprised to learn that my book was already signed when I bought it from Amazon.
Kennedy Odede is the founder and CEO of SHOFCO, which is breaking the cycle of poverty in Kibera and Kenya. He started the movement from Kibera, his home. We spent a week visiting their various offices and programs and heard from the people offering and benefiting from these services. The movement has grown to reach many communities across Kenya. Kennedy, along with his wife Jessica enshrined their story in their book 'Find Me Unafraid'

But this time I wanted to be a witness and he obliged. The energy that he emanates is unmatched, making him feel animated. Going by his usual style, he surprised us on the last day of our visit.
I spent my summer as a program manager in Rakuten's Computer Vision Team. My goal was to increase the integration of Computer Vision (which is an AI technology that allows computers to "see") into Rakuten's Business Units to improve their bottom line. My eight-week internship culminated with three business proposals for Rakuten's e-commerce, agriculture, and sports marketing business units.

Because of my extensive involvement with the Samsung Community, I was invited to share how working at Samsung made me feel. I was an active member of Samsung's CSR team and an Employee Representative, acting as a bridge between the employees and the management. Fun fact, I also organized a gaming competition at Samsung, the first of its kind, which saw participation from 200+ gaming enthusiasts.
