Cineware by Maxon is available within Archicad. There are many rendering applications that Archicad can connect with, including Twinmotion, Artlantis and Enscape.
AFAIK - expressions return values in calculation units. Within a expression, you can use any units you like and it will make the conversion(s). I believe the number unit selection will not add comma separators unlike the length, etc. measurements.

Barry - yes - Working Units will control decimal precision of those "unitless" numbers. So the software hook seems to be there. But does anyone *ever* need SF calculated to four decimal places? Silly. I'd rather have the "precision" in reports to distinguish currency from area, for example. With different decimal precision for different units...
But we need less of a sledgehammer and more of a scalpel. Better to have format control either within the expression itself, or at the level of a column in the schedule. Blanket settings for "all numbers, everywhere" ain't that helpful.
I am at the same juncture, but with trying to creating a label that reads the zone SF, but would prefer to have the comma included, after using an expression to round the sq ft number to the nearest whole number.
Personally, I just think of the story numbers as index numbers. They do not need to show on drawings and the descriptors you give them relate the true story (or level). Might be a wish item to have the ability to toggle to hide them in the navigator. They can be a bit distracting if you have alpha-numeric stories (e.g., mezzanines, TOP) and the like.
Thanks for the reply. Indeed we don't need to show it on drawings, but it's easier to see "1. 1st floor" than "0, 1st floor". Last year the portuguese law has changed and the 0 floor does not exist anymore, hence the question. The ability to toggle to hide in the navigator is a good solution, could come with AC27.

Revit is simple, basically a row of icon tabs plus a properties window and a project content browser. Some call it simplistic.

I have the same problem with the isometric view.
For us some time, we would like to set up a precise camera angle in the iso view for example this one:
I can't find any way to set that up in Enscape rather than estimating the angle. And when we want to show a series of study fragments, it would come handy if we could set up the camera setting so every version is matching with views.
Another remark is that the distance between the camera and the object while in isometric view in Enscape is always automatically too close.
Hope that your developer team will have a solution for this soon.
I was lucky enough to buy a license for the updated version of Archiquant Plus 25 and realized that this addon was the most valuable investment for Archicad as it upgraded the scheduling capabilitied and added realtime cost management with a fantastic UI. Cigraph did the most advanced addon for scheduling and cost calqulation!!!!!!
From my point of view ,I would consider this addon the first priority of Graphisoft. If Archicad 27 was released even with just that addition without anything else, It would be a significant upgrade to the BIM methodology as it will add the cost parameter directly in the design process in real time.
Archiquant Plus is a great add-on and, as you say, is the best (and only) quantities/takeoff solution for AC. Unfortunately GS will never admit this because they think custom properties and schedules are amazing. They can't seem to wrap their heads around the power of an add-on like AQ+. Being able to attach multiple building components to a single element with custom calculations is just so powerful. The only thing wrong with the add-on is that its based on AC's old property object structure which has been long forgotten by GS. If they were to incorporate it into Archicad it would need a back end rebuild while still providing the same front end solutions & UI.
Hi! What about Archi Suite Library? I used the elements of archisuite, i bought every upgrade of the plugin for years. Now there are no updates, but the new Archicad release doesn't allow to use the library license that results outdated... so the customizable features cannot be changed. This is very unpleasant because, especially for old projects, you have files with inappropriate and unusable objects otherwise reopening the file with the Archicad 25 version which still retains the valid license. Do you think it would be possible to obtain an "unlocked" library that can also work on new versions of Archicad? obviously paying for it!
Possibly, I know of a shipbuilder that not only does the design phase in Rhino but also the whole thing from start to finish for what falls within their realm. So I assume this should be possible for architecture as well. It may require the use of plugins/add-on software though.
The big question is how efficient would it be to use Rhino, with or without plugins, from start to finish, i.e. how much effort would it take and whether are there other programs that can do it more efficient and better that would make more sense to use at some stage of the process.
Not to mention the issue of file compatibility incl. data retention within those files if you have to exchange files that may force you to use other software than Rhino if there is no plugin/add-on that would take care of that.
In your example Dimo the typical project is going to have many different input from the various trades. Those can be nightmare in any software. Given the right team and process this works well in Rhino; due to its flexibility with file formats, tolerances, etc. Granted these process typically stay in house, with the rare example of Front that shares some of tools of their flow.
Hi Dimo, I agree with you on the workflow and structure issue, plus there is the issue of data as well.
Geometry wise Rhino can probably get the job done, but the rest is probably at least a bit problematic compared to dedicated software if there are no good plugins/add-ons to handle that.
Hi Art, you are absolutely right. My issue with ArchiCAD is not only the price, but I find the program pretty heavy, not intuitive at all and regarding 3d-modeling a crap. And is pretty pity to have a fully detailed 3d-model in Rhino that you have to export to another program just for creating the construction documents. In a perfect world you would have a rhino plugin specialized in construction drawings / documentations etc. and close the circle.
Large amounts of pages are always a bit of a struggle with most CAD software compared to e.g. page lay-out software (not to mention Framemaker which is really good at that) but the publishing tools of Rhino can definitely use improvement, especially when it comes to title blocks (though there might be a plugin for that, I would have to look that up soon).
Totally agreeing with this, it should be native and built into Rhino, that way you can also be sure it will be available throughout the entire Rhino users chain working on those models/drawings (assuming they are all at least on the version that has this)
