Biosketch

I am a theoretical physicist interested in gravitation, cosmology, and relativistic astrophysics. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor at St. Mary's College of Maryland. Prior to this, I completed my Ph. D. from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2022.

I was born in a small town called Miraj in the western state of Maharashtra, India. I completed my bachelor's and master's degrees in India and then moved to the United States for a doctoral degree.

Academic Background

My interest in physics started from high school which led me to enrol for a bachelor's degree in science. I completed a B. Sc. (Honours) in Physics from Ramjas College, University of Delhi in 2014. After this, I joined the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad and graduated with an M. Sc. in Physics in 2017. For my master's thesis, I investigated how non-Gaussianities in the cosmic microwave background can be used to test inflation models.

After this, I moved to the United States to pursue a doctoral degree from University of Texas at Dallas. In the process, I completed a second master's degree (M. S.) in physics in 2019. In 2022, I completed my doctoral studies and obtained a Ph. D. in physics. My doctoral dissertation was based on the averaging problem in cosmology.

In the Fall of 2022, I joined St. Mary's College of Maryland as a visiting faculty and am currently an Assistant Professor there.
