Dr. Anik Sen was promoted to Associate Professor in Chemistry in GITAM (effective from January 2023).
November 2023: Dr. Anik Sen gave an invited talk in the Two day National Seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence in Chemistry: Current Trends and Future Directions” scheduled on 22nd and 23rd November, 2023, organised by Department of Chemistry, KBN College, in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) and Krishna University.
July 2023: Dr. Anik Sen gave an invited talk in the 3 day international FDP on Introduction to Computational Chemistry for Drug Discovery and Molecular Properties: A Hands on Training held in Woxen University, Hyderabad.
December 2022: Dr. Anik Sen gave an invited talk in the workshop held in Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan.
October 2022: Dr. Anik Sen gave an invited talk in an international conference "The 7th International Conference on New Energy and Future Energy Systems (NEFES 2022)".
Group Achievements
December 2023: The GITAM Chemistry Research Conference successfully completed.
December 2023: Anil and Preeti got best Oral and best Poster awards from RSC and ACS respectively in GCRC 2023 conference.
Two Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics accepted from the CMDD group in a year, 2023.
January 2023: Review on the Solar Cell studies got accepted in Dyes and Pigments.
October 2022: Back to back publications in JOC and Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology A: Chemistry.
September 2022: Our Collaboration paper got accepted in Chemistry : An Asian Journal, with Dr. Arup Mukherjee
July, 2022: Anil's First Paper is now Online in Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology A: Chemistry
rESEARCH iNTERN POSITIONS
In the group a position of research intern is available, who will be working on Computer aided drug design field.
The position at present is only for 6 months with approximate Rs. 10K- 15K scholarship. (Interview Feb 2024 end)

Research Domain includes
- Computational studies on Anticancer, Anti-covid and Anti Alzheimer drug design.
- Molecular Modelling on Dye sensitized Solar Cell applications.
- Theoretical approach on Synthetic Mechanisms.
