Privacy Policy for AniGossip - Anime AI Chat

AniGossip - Anime AI Chat (“AniGossip,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is developed by Monika Mehra. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

We may collect or process the following information:

• Account information: If you sign in, we may process your email address, authentication information, and profile display name.

• Chat content: Messages you send to AI characters or group chats, selected language preferences, and conversation context.

• Profile information: Your chosen display name and profile-related preferences.

• Favourites and app activity: Character favourites, conversation history, group-chat membership, and related in-app preferences.

• Group-chat images: If you choose a local image as a group-chat profile picture, the app accesses the image you select. The image URI is stored on your device for displaying the group profile picture.

• Technical and usage information: Basic information necessary to operate the app, such as network requests, app settings, and error information.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide AI character and group-chat conversations.

• Generate character responses based on your messages, selected language, character settings, and previous conversation context.

• Save your chats, favourites, groups, and preferences.

• Maintain your signed-in account and profile.

• Improve app stability, security, and functionality.

• Respond to support requests and enforce our terms or applicable law.

AI Processing

AniGossip uses third-party AI services to generate character responses. When you send a message, your message, selected character/group context, and relevant recent conversation history may be sent to an AI service to generate a response.

Do not share sensitive personal information, passwords, financial information, government IDs, medical information, or private information you do not want processed by an AI service.

AI-generated replies are fictional and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. They are provided for entertainment purposes only and are not professional advice.

Third-Party Services

AniGossip may use third-party services to provide app functionality, including:

• Supabase for authentication, profile data, favourites, and related cloud services.

• Google AI / Gemini for generating AI character responses.

• AniList and/or Jikan for anime and character discovery information and images.

These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies. We share only information reasonably necessary to provide the requested feature.

Data Storage

• Conversation history, group conversations, selected group images, and certain preferences may be stored locally on your device.

• Account, profile, favourite-character, and related cloud information may be stored through our service providers.

• We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only:

• With service providers needed to operate AniGossip, such as authentication, AI, and anime-data providers.

• When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request.

• To protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of AniGossip, users, or the public.

• As part of a business transfer, merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, where legally permitted.

Your Choices

You may:

• Edit your profile information within the app where available.

• Remove local app data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app.

• Stop using the app at any time.

• Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account-related data.

Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your AniGossip account and associated cloud data by contacting us at:

Please include the email address associated with your account and the subject line “AniGossip Account Deletion Request.”

We may need to verify your identity before completing a deletion request. Some information may be retained where necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or technical reasons.

Children’s Privacy

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the app or on the page where this policy is published and update the effective date.
