While the first five birds (Red, The Blues, Chuck, Bomb, Matilda) and Hal were used, their 'hurt' sprites were never used. Same for Bomb's exploding phases, wide-mouthed Hal, and Terence. This was added in v3.1.0.

I have a simple code for a circular sprite with a circular spritemap that is attached to a spring, and when I hold the sprite, drag it back, and release my mouse, the object flies in the opposite direction to where I dragged it back to (almost angry birds like launch). But, when I hold the sprite, I am able to clip it through other sprites on my level, and even out of bounds. The ball is floating and the play is supposed to be able to drag and launch it in any direction

I have been looking into angry birds as that is one of the main inspirations for the game idea, and having a look at how they had done each part of the characters animation and also each little detail within the game. From looking into this i can see that they had used sprite sheets for the characters so that with each part when ever the character is hit or the object the certain character sprite will change to this and carry on through out such as with the blocks and the little effects of the smoke.

As you can see above this is one of the angry birds sprite sheets that I found and this shows each part of the character animation and how the character will change throughout the game itself . This is one of the ideas i had for the game and how I was going to go about it and create a sprite sheet in photoshop and from this then send it across and is easy to add the character and their animation to the game.

Aside from the backgrounds being changed in terms of animation, some other features were added to the backgrounds, such as Dandelions in Poached Eggs' first background. The birds' sprites have a thick outline, but they don't have smooth movement, they continue with their one-sprite expressions.

In order to save performance, the sprite/score calculation is achieved if and only if the score has changed from the previous update call. Then, the respective sprites are enabled and the relevant score is shown.

Sprites are created by adding textures to Sprite Collection assets. Each texture produces one or more sprites (in case of a spritesheet), which are automatically packed into one or more atlases for runtime use. Sprites can be added/removed/changed as needed, with the system taking care of automatically rebuilding the atlases after each change. ff782bc1db
