Welcome to Angler Ridge Acres! Tucked away on 24 acres amongst the hills of Canoe Creek, you will find a quaint cabin and cozy camper. Whether you're looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway or opportunities to fish, hunt, and hike; Angler Ridge Acres can fulfill your getaway needs. Just steps out the front door, you will find a stocked trout stream running through the property. We are conveniently located 6 miles north of Decorah, just off Hwy 52. Take time to balance your busy life by creating memories with family and friends!
Trout Cove Cabin
Trout Cove can sleep up to 7 people. This cabin is perfect for family and friend gatherings. It's covered deck invites you to relax and take in the view. The cabin was recently remodeled and includes a brand new full bathroom. Enjoy a relaxing paradise just outside of Decorah.
On a smaller scale, this 27' camper comfortably sleeps 3-4 people. Tucked away in the woods, your friends and family can enjoy privacy while over looking canoe creek and the surrounding valley. The camper is fully equipped providing a cozy and comfortable stay.
Trout Cove Cabin and The Driftless Camper are nestled into the hillside of Canoe Creek Valley overlooking the Trout Stream. Ample distance between the two locations offer the privacy you expect on your getaway. Reservations are typically accepted for April through November. Now accepting 2020 reservations!
The DNR stocked trout stream runs through this entire 24-acre sanctuary. West Canoe Creek allows for great opportunities to catch rainbow and wild brown trout. Even better, adjacent properties allow public fishing access as well.
Mowed trails following the trout stream, as well as through the woods, are fitting for both beginning and experienced hikers. Along the trails you will find a multitude of wildflowers which are home to various wildlife.
For those licensed and experienced, we do allow archery hunting for both turkey and white-tailed deer as they frequent the property. Please inquire for more information and rates as only a few hunts are allowed each year.
Throughout the woods, many dead elm trees offer great opportunities to find morel mushrooms in the spring. Puffball mushrooms can also be found in the Fall. Make your reservations in May for your best chance to find Morels.
Aside from the outdoor activities, there are many opportunities to just relax and take in the scenery. Both lodging options include a covered deck overlooking the stream. Whether fog is rising in the morning or the leaves are changing in the fall, the views overlooking the valley are breathtaking.
