Apple Valley has been home to my family for more than four decades.
I graduated from Granite Hills High School, where I met my husband of 24 years. Today our son proudly attends Apple Valley Unified schools, giving me firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges our students and families experience.
Education has always been central to our family. My mother-in-law dedicated more than thirty years serving AVUSD as a teacher, inspiring generations of students and demonstrating the lasting impact educators have on our community.
For years I've worked as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life's challenges.
My work extends beyond the therapy office.
I've partnered with local schools and community organizations, organized annual mental health fairs, expanded access to behavioral health resources, and developed student wellness initiatives that help students succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
I believe every decision made by the School Board should begin with one question:
"How does this help students succeed?"
I believe our district deserves leadership that listens carefully, communicates openly, supports educators, partners with families, and makes responsible decisions that prepare students for the future.
Every student deserves the opportunity to learn in an environment where they feel safe, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Outstanding educators are the foundation of student success. I will advocate for attracting, supporting, and retaining exceptional teachers and staff.
Academic success and emotional well-being go hand in hand. I'll continue advocating for practical mental health resources, student wellness initiatives, and partnerships that support the whole child.
Families deserve honest communication and thoughtful leadership. I believe School Board decisions should be transparent, fiscally responsible, and always focused on what's best for students.
Great schools don't exist in isolation. By working together with parents, educators, businesses, and community organizations, we can create more opportunities for every student.
