Born and raised in beautiful McMinn County, Tennessee, Angela D. Coleman (also known as Aura Snow) has always bee proud to call East Tennessee home. She is a loving wife and devoted mother of four, and her family remains at the heart of everything she does. Throughout her life, she has cherished the value of family, faith, hard work, curiosity, and community.
A lifelong lover of the great outdoors and an avid explorer, Angela D. Coleman enjoys kayaking, canoeing, swimming, camping, biking, hiking, gardening, and simply spending time surrounded by nature. She has a deep appreciation for the mountains, countryside, forests, rivers, and beaches, finding inspiration and peace in the natural world. Her interests also included reading, writing, studying, journaling, arts, and crafts, upcycling, thrifting, collecting vintage and antique treasures, traveling, history, and amateur photography.
Her passion for bringing people together and creating meaningful connections has also led her to establish several community and social clubs, including McMinn Wildlife Habitat, The Book Queens Circle, The Ladies Hiking and Outdoor Adventures, and The Scarlet Magnolia Rose Sororite'. Each reflects a differenet part of Angela's personality and interests- from her love and appreciation for wildlife and the natural world, to Angela's passion for literature, outdoor adventure, friendship, fellowship, and creating spaces where women can connect, learn, and share experiences.
Her love of storytelling and preserving memories has led her to become an author. She is the creator of Returning To The Roots and The Harley Adventures, While Returning To The Roots and The Harely Adventures share themes of exploration, discovery, connection, and learning through experience, they are created with different audiences in mind. Returing To The Roots is written especially for women, encouraging them to reconnect with themselves, nature, their roots, and the wisdom found along life's journey. The Harley Adventures carries those same themes of curiosity, adventure, and discovery into stories created especially for children, inspiring young readers to explore the world around them while learning along the way.
Angela's diverse interests and lifelong pursuit of learning have led her down many paths. Angela D. Coleman is a certified Notary Public and Wedding Officiant. Angela is as well a registered and certified yoga and qigong instructor, ecotherapy guide, herblist, Reiki Master, urban farmer, death doula, and animal communication and training practitioner, life coach. Each of these areas reflects her belief in lifelong learning, in holistic care, personal growth, compassion, and the importance of meaningful connections- with ourselves, with one another, with animals, and with the natural world.
Whether she is writing, exploring a back road, paddling a quiet river, discovering a piece of history, working to her hands, photographing a beautiful landscape. tending her garden, gathering friends, or spending time with family, Angela D. Coleman, approaches life with curiosity and a sense of adventure. Her greatest joy is continuing to learn, create,explore, and share the experiences, stories, and wisdom gathered along the way.
