Interactive Topic Model

Using the Interactive Model

Each of the 16 topics can be identified in either of the following ways:

  • By entering a number in the Selected Topic box below
  • Scrolling through topics by using the buttons to the right of the Selected Topic box
  • Selecting a topic directly on the Intertopic Distance Map

The numbered topics in the model correspond to the named topics in the legend, which are grouped into 4 themes.

The Lambda represents a relevance metric that re-weights terms within a topic by the probability of the word in the entire corpus. As Lambda decreases, terms more relevant to the single topic selected will appear (as opposed to terms that span topics).

  • Lambda can be adjusted by dragging the slider on the top left of the model
