Funds of Identity and Critical Pedagogy Project

EDLT 5220 Cumulative Project

Mission of the project

In this project I started by delving into my own identity, connecting it with the course topics. I then designed a personalized learning project tailored to a classmate's unique identity and experiences. The project concluded with a reflective exercise on the entire process.

A personal exploration of my unique experiences, knowledge, and values that shape who I am. It's a self-reflection process where I identify and understand the aspects of my life and culture that influence my perspective and actions.

For Lisanne, I created a project-based learning assignment tailored to her unique experiences and cultural background. The task aimed to engage her interest and promote deeper understanding of the course topics through a personalized approach.

Reflecting on the project Lisanne designed for me, I gained insights into how personalized learning can deepen understanding and connection to course topics. It was a unique experience that challenged and broadened my perspective in the context of our course.

I traced my journey from initial unfamiliarity with course concepts to a deeper understanding. I connected theories to my personal experiences, recognized how they reshaped my understanding of education, and discussed how I plan to apply these insights in future educational practice. This reflection signaled my commitment to inclusive, empowering, and equitable education.
