Academic and professional pathway

Currently, PhD student in the Doctoral Program in Optometry and Vision Sciences at the University of Minho (since 2020), with a PhD scholarship funded by Fundação para as Ciências e Tecnologias (FCT). Graduated in Optometry and Vision Sciences (2015), master in Advanced Optometry (2018) and post-graduated in Health Units Management (2018) by the University of Minho. Vision sciences researcher at the Physics Center of Minho and Porto Universities (CF-UM-UP) since 2017 (working laboratory: Colour Science Laboratory). Previous research grant holder from FCT in physics (2018) and from Bosch-University of Minho partnership in optics and eye safety (2019-2020). Specialist in color vision and visual perception, with experience in hyperspectral imaging, spectrophotometry, telespetroradiometry and psychophysics, data analysis, programming, optics and clinical optometry. With peer-reviewed publications and several colaborations in different research fields. Experience in organizing scientific conferences and outreach activities, and presenting to different audiences at several events.

Publications

My main research fields are color vision and visual perception with experience in hyperspectral imaging, spectrophotometry, telespetroradiometry and psychophysics, but also in clinical optometry and management and logistics. I collaborated with other areas such as arts, conservation and restoration, biological engineering and food industry and optometry.
