Hello everyone, and welcome to my website. My name is Andreas Angelou, and I was born in 1999 in Thessaloniki, Greece. I studied Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2017 - 2023), where I obtained my diploma (Integrated Master's degree) in ECE. In 2022, I worked for 8 months as a data science intern at one of the top companies in the automotive industry, Volvo Cars, Gothenburg, Sweden.
My research interests are in the broad areas of signal processing and control theory, and I am particularly interested in the field of mathematical signal processing and the development of generic signal processing methods for engineering applications.
I am a PhD researcher at KU Leuven under the supervision of Prof. Marc Moonen, and I am working on distributed signal processing algorithms for cell-free massive MIMO networks. The project aims to develop novel and efficient distributed signal processing algorithms to reap the full CFmMIMO benefits at a practically affordable cost.
