Short bio

I obtained my Laurea Degree (cum laude) in Computer Science at University of Salerno in July 2005 and my Ph.D. in Operational Research at "Sapienza" University of Rome in May 2009.

Before joining CNR-IAC in December 2021, I have been a postdoctoral researcher at University of Salerno.

I have been an Adjunct Professor (docente a contratto) of Operational Research at University of Cassino from 2016 to 2019, and I am currently Adjunct Professor (docente in convenzione) of Operational Research at University of Salerno.

I passed the Italian national scientific qualification (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale) as Associate Professor of Operational Research (SC 01/A6, SSD MAT/09). Valid until 24 September 2028.

My main research interests involve heuristics, metaheuristics and exact methods to solve optimization problems, with special emphasis on wireless sensor networks and graph problems with applications in telecommunications.
