Right now, I'm investigating federal surveillance and technology issues for the Project On Government Oversight.

In the past, I wrote a majority of my words for The Washington Post, where I covered technology policy for three and half years, or ThinkProgress. But you can also find some of them at Politico, The Daily Beast, Slate, Science Progress, and the Sunlight Foundation.

A few of my greatest hits include a frontpage story from the Snowden cache about how the National Security Agency used Google's ad-tracking tech to identify targets to infect with malware, breaking news about the cryptowars while explaining to readers how encryption works, and revealing that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly's phone was hacked for months.
