Welcome!

My name is Andrea Monge, and I am a PhD Candidate in Policy Analysis and Management specializing on Health Policy at Cornell University. After completing medical school, I pursued a Residency in Head and Neck Surgery and a Master’s in Public Health, and then continued my studies at Cornell in health economics. With an expected graduation in May 2020, I am on the Job Market this Fall.

My research interests are in health and global health economics, policy analysis, economic evaluations in healthcare and health services management. My job market paper looks at the intersection of litigation and the access to health care in single-payer systems using novel data from a database I created linking court cases to individual specific benefits and costs.

In September 2020 I will join the FDA as Economist at the Office of Economics and Analysis (Office of the Commissioner).
