Artistic inspiration began at an early age for Robyn Wood and has continued to be an intricate part of her life. She has always created art using a variety of different mediums.
Over the years Robyn has taken art courses at the University of Guelph and Cedar Ridge Creative Centre. Her work can be found in private collections, and it public places such as Anson Park Public School and the Ross Tilley Burn Center at Sunnybrook Hospital. Many pieces have also been donated to various fundraising events across the provence.
Robyn has always felt that art is good for your soul, a natural healer and a place of escape. If a picture can make a person ponder its meaning or bring enjoyment by looking at it, then she has accomplished her goal as an artist.

Rick Corcoran

After working 12 hr, 6 day work weeks for 42 years I finally have an opportunity to pursue some of my real passions: Photography, Pyrography and Wood Carving. My works include • ‘Wood Spirit’ carvings that are hung via jute twine (with hand whipped tails) – perfect for gardens, cottages and eclectic homes. • Pyrography [wood burning] hanging art pieces and canoe paddles with subject matter from landscape to signs. • Local photography. I love a good picture but I also love creative interpretations of the same. My photos convey feeling as much as subject matter. Most pictures are 8x10 and all are framed.

Wendy Marsh - Labour of Love
Wendy Marsh loves to get creative and it shows in her beautiful work. She love to create colourful lap and baby quilts, hair scrunchies, various styles of bags, tooth pillows, table runners and placemats, as well as fabric ornaments.
Christin Shmanka
Christin's mother was very involved in the arts and she began to dabble in drawing and painting when she was very young. Christin took painting thought high school and into university, exploring various painting mediums, including acrylic and many pen and ink drawings. She happened upon watercolour when admiring the works of others, and pursued "playing" with various techniques in realistic and abstract pieces. She loves to include ink as part of the design.
While watercolour is a somewhat unforgiving medium, it also allows great exploration: of textures when combined with salt, plastic wrap, and the like, and of colours blending and reacting to each other in lovely ways. It is not always predictable and thus fosters creativity to make a thing of beauty following the shapes suggested by the initial pass.
Stephanie Briley
~~ Stephanie Briley Brand ~~ Watercolour Artist ~~
For the past ten years, watercolour has become Stephanie's serendipitous and addictive pastime. She is attracted to the softness and transparency of the paint.
The energy of this medium is magical, as it often does the work itself. It is taking her years to understand the mystery of watercolour and the many reactions and techniques.
Stephanie grew up in the Scarborough Bluffs, attending Fairmount P.S. and R. H. King Collegiate. After raising her family and retiring from teaching, she returned to this special neighbourhood and continue to enjoy the challenge of watercolour, taking a variety of local art classes, and painting her travels and gardens.

Doug & Eileen Simpson
- River Rock Jewellery
Instagram: River Rock Jewellery
Website: https://www.riverrockjewellery.com/
Email: riverrockjewellery@hotmail.com
As an outlet for his interest in geology, Doug has created a line of jewellery. This evolved from his walks along the shorelines of Lake Ontario, most predominantly the Scarborough Bluffs, where he has collected many specimens of stones, polished by time and nature. These have provided the inspiration for his one-of-a-kind items.
It gives him great satisfaction to revive the natural beauty of these stones, and provide a stage upon which they can shine.
Doug has always had an interest in reintroducing items from the past, including buying, repairing and selling antiques and collectibles, and appreciate the craftsmanship and beauty of what has gone before.
Doug and his wife Eileen are very excited to be taking part in An Artist Lives Here Event and cannot wait to show you what they have created.
Tiffany Barnett - Birchcliff Knots
Instagram: @birchcliffknots
Website: http//www.mandelisart.com
Tiffany Barnett is a single mom who works a day job in healthcare and needed an outlet for some self care and “me time” during the pandemic.
Tiffany has always been a maker and enjoyed the process of creating with her hands, but she found a new meditative groove when making macrame and mixed fibre wall hangings and found a new love with fibre art in general.
Although the intention started as just making art for herself, family and friends, Tiffany quickly found herself branching out and began doing custom pieces for others, and Birchcliff Knots was born last summer.
Tiffany is very excited to participate in an Artist Lives Here, and looks forward to meeting everyone and showcasing her “hobby”.

Blissfully satisfying whole leaf & house-made tea blends
Tea has been central to my life since childhood. My Mom was always keen to share a cup of tea with me. I think she knew I’d sit down for a few minutes and she’d learn more about my day. Tea was the currency of conversation. As I got older, tea became fuel to keep me going well into the night as I started my career as an Event Planner. What I hadn’t yet realized was that I would continue to turn to tea to ‘solve my world’s problems’. Whether that be that much needed ‘pick me up’, a blend to calm me down after a long day, or one to settle my stomach or help me sleep. I turn to tea. It’s like good friends or a good book – always there for you.
My blends are an evolution of my interests, conversations and connections made with people over tea. And of course – requests! Everyone has a tea story and I love exploring how people relate to tea and what they love. The blends you’ll find here are a mix of my personal ‘crafted’ blends as well as some I’ve found and just have to share.
Join me as I share my growing passion and love of all things tea.
