Ana Laura Arrieta Zamudio

I am a PhD candidate in Linguistics at the University of British Columbia. I have an M.A. in Hispanic Linguistics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a B.A. in Linguistics from the Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM) in Mexico City.  I've worked with Spanish, San Pablo Güilá Zapotec  (Otomanguean, Mexico), and Ktunaxa (isolate, Canada and the US). In my current dissertation, I aim to investigate Modality in San Pablo Güilá Zapotec.

San Pablo Güilá Zapotec

San Pablo Güilá Zapotec is an Otomanguean language of the Zapotecan family spoken in the community of San Pablo Güilá, which belongs to the municipality of Santiago Matatlán, located in the Tlacolutla District, Oaxaca, Mexico. Ktunaxa

Ktunaxa is an isolate language spoken in the traditional territory of the Rocky Mountains in southeastern British Columbia, southwestern Alberta, Canada, western Montana and parts of Washington and Idaho, in the US. Check out the website of the Ktunaxa nation.
