We know that the office is more than just a place to work, it drives innovation and growth, fosters culture and a sense of community and it is a primary source of collaboration. In an ideal world, there would be the same recruitment process for every position. And we are doing our best to keep it as simple as possible. Unfortunately, very often we are facing some differences so below we are presenting part of the process that will never change:

First-year students of GBS Studies visited us to meet with representatives of the GBS Team and learn more about what GBS measures and how we gather feedback from our clients and vendors.

During 3 hours meeting, students also took part in case-study and their job was to analyze the results from GBS surveys. Thanks to the meeting and task, students had a unique opportunity to see and learn for themselves how GBS operates and how work in the GBS environment looks like.

During a one-hour, online meeting with students, we will tell about Amway and have a group discussion on how it is to be an intern at Amway and what are the possibilities to grow after the internship.

Who are we, what is Amway and what are we doing in Krakow? By joining this meeting, you will get to know Amway GBS, learn more about our culture and look inside our office in Krakw city center. Agnieszka Starowicz and Ewa Jwiakowska, our Senior HR Generalists will tell you what you can expect by joining our team, as well as answer your questions, making it easier for you to decide if Amway is the right place for you.

Never come under temptation to overdo or reach a milestone. Initial few months must be used to understand the business. Never run behind any financial target to meet. You will always be under temptation to meet certain milestone much to the desire of your up-line. This is where you may compromise with your integrity and professionalism.

Be patient with your down-line. The difference between you and your newly joined down-line is the level of conviction. People with low conviction may not commit fully or wholeheartedly. So, as an up-line you must demonstrate utmost patience for him to understand and develop conviction. It is a slow but steady progress.

Understand the rule of the game. Spend some time to understand the rules. How PV is calculated, which day should you log your orders to make you applicable for bonus and campaign offers. Once you have down-lines, be honest with them and guide them through these rules. If you are only interested in your benefits, down-lines may not like it.

Business expenses are tax deductible, however the expense must be for "business," and you are not being reimbursed for travel by your employer. For example, if you spent $1,000 to go to a conference that lasts 2-days. ALL of your expenses are related to the conference, i.e, food, hotel, air, etc. went towards the conference, all is deductible. If however, you spent an extra night, then only 2/3 of the expenses are deductible. It is also a red flag for a possible audit.

How do we know so much about starting a business? Amway was founded by two entrepreneurs who started numerous business ventures of their own and saw the importance of helping others do the same. From Beijing to Barcelona, Seoul to San Diego, millions of Amway Business Owners carry on this legacy.

Amway (short for "American Way") is an American multi-level marketing (MLM) company that sells health, beauty, and home care products.[2][3][4] The company was founded in 1959 by Jay Van Andel and Richard DeVos and is based in Ada, Michigan.[5] Amway and its sister companies under Alticor reported sales of $8.9 billion in 2019.[1] It is the largest multi-level marketing company in the world by revenue.[6] It conducts business through a number of affiliated companies in more than a hundred countries and territories.

Amway has been investigated in various countries and by institutions such as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for alleged pyramid scheme practices. The company has paid tens of millions of dollars to settle these suits.[7][8][9][10][11][12] Between 2007 and 2008, Amway was found guilty of illegal business practices in India. This ruling was upheld by the Indian Supreme Court. The crackdown was followed in 2021 by the Enforcement Directorate attaching company and bank assets, and labeling Amway's business model a "pyramid fraud" and the product offerings a "masquerade".[13][14][15] In 1983, Amway admitted to defrauding the Canadian government for 15 years and had to pay a fine.[16]

Jay Van Andel and Richard DeVos had been friends since school days and business partners in various endeavors, including a hamburger stand, an air charter service, and a sailing business. In 1949, they were introduced to the Nutrilite Products Corporation[17] by Van Andel's second cousin Neil Maaskant. DeVos and Van Andel signed up to become distributors for Nutrilite food supplements in August.[18][page needed] They sold their first box the next day for $19.50, but lost interest for the next two weeks. They traveled to Chicago to attend a Nutrilite seminar soon afterward, at the urging of Maaskant, who had become their sponsor. They watched promotional filmstrips and listened to talks by company representatives and successful distributors, then they decided to pursue the Nutrilite business. They sold their second box of supplements on their return trip to Michigan, and rapidly proceeded to develop the business further.[18][page needed]

Their first product was called Frisk, an organic cleaner developed by a scientist in Ohio. DeVos and Van Andel bought the rights to manufacture and distribute Frisk, and later changed the name to LOC (Liquid Organic Cleaner).[21] They subsequently formed the Amway Sales Corporation to procure and inventory products and to handle sales and marketing plans, and the Amway Services Corporation to handle insurance and other benefits for distributors.[22] In 1960, they purchased a 50% share in Atco Manufacturing Company in Detroit, the original manufacturers of LOC, and changed its name to Amway Manufacturing Corporation.[23] In 1964, the Amway Sales Corporation, Amway Services Corporation, and Amway Manufacturing Corporation merged to form the Amway Corporation.[24]

Amway was ranked by Forbes as the 42nd-largest privately held company in the United States in 2018,[30] and as the number one largest company on the Direct Selling News Global 100 list in 2018.[31]

The founders of the Amway corporation established a new holding company in 1999, named Alticor, and launched three new companies: a sister (and separate) Internet-focused company named Quixtar, Access Business Group, and Pyxis Innovations. Pyxis, later replaced by Fulton Innovation, pursued research and development and Access Business Group handled manufacturing and logistics for Amway, Quixtar, and third-party clients.[32] 152ee80cbc
