The 2024 Amsterdam/Saint-Etienne Workshop on Social Choice

The Groupe d'Analyse et de Théorie Economique (GATE) at the Saint-Etienne School of Economics, in collaboration with the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) at the University of Amsterdam, hosted the 2nd Amsterdam/Saint-Etienne Workshop on Social Choice on 14-15 March 2024 in the centre of Saint-Etienne. The first workshop in the series was held in 2023 in Amsterdam.

The scientific programme included invited talks by Dolors Berga (University of Girona), Iannis Caragiannis (Aarhus University), Edith Elkind (University of Oxford), Anke Gerber (University of Hamburg), Stéphane Gonzalez (University of Saint-Etienne), Michele Gori (University of Florence), Umberto Grandi (University of Toulouse), Rebecca Reiffenhäuser (University of Amsterdam), Ulrike Schmidt-Kraepelin (Eindhoven University of Technology), and Marc Vorsatz (National University of Distance Education).

Besides the invited talks, we had an open poster session that everyone working in the field was invited to contribute to. Of course, there also was plenty of time for discussion.

Registered participants were able to attend free of charge, and we were able to award a small number of travel grants to some of the poster presenters.

The workshop was organised by Ulle Endriss (University of Amsterdam) and Zoi Terzopoulou (Saint-Etienne School of Economics)
