Where I'm From
By Langh
I am from boiling noodles, mixed with sauces.
And the loud noises from a big family.
I am from the leafy leaves, flying across the road.
The cats wandered, climbing over the wooden fences.
I am from the yummy brownies from my mom after work.
And the delicious croissant, which my dad likes to eat.
I am from the nostalgic cartoons, Scooby-Doo and Tom and jerry.
The Harry Potter to Ninja Turtles to courage the cowardly dog.
From going to football games at a young age, with some butter popcorn.
And the cartoon network and disney plus.
I am from the annoying brothers, with wild raccoons in the backyard.
I am from the troublemaker in kindergarten, stuck with glitter and glue.
And begging my mom to not want to go to school.
The sweats from my hot, heated bedroom.
Â
I am from the cream puffs that my mom bought from the store.
And I am from caring aunts and uncles.
The yummy blueberry muffins to the wonderful cookies.
And the backyard flooded with wet and dirty leaves.
This is where I'm from.
