Just Try!

Gravity pulls us all back. 

You can try as hard as you’d like

But no matter what.

Gravity remains intact. 

No exceptions, I think.

You can jump as high, but always fall.

But maybe when you fall

You can choose how you land.

What I mean is, everyone falls, right?

I’m not quite sure.

So maybe if I jump 

And jump as high as I can

Because when I just stand

Nothing moves.

I will land and be farther than ever before!

A bird in a cage, locked all by itself? 

I might as well try, they might as well too

Why stay chained to the ground

With no vivacity or views?

Yes, I may fall

But maybe I won’t?

I guess it's worth a try!

Guess I'll try unlike most!

Won’t be tied down anymore!

So what I mean is

Gravity will hold me down

But it is a choice

To get off the ground, try

And let yourself fly!
