Editor-in-Chief, Dog House Media | Brandon High School
I am the Editor-in-Chief of Dog House Media at Brandon High School, where I serve as the lead editor, producer, and creator of our monthly issue, dedicated to covering relevant, truthful news. Over the 2025-2026 school year, I have explored everything from religion and science, to social issues and even politics in hopes of educating and engaging my peers and audience.
Outside of journalism, I have served as a leader in DECA, HOSA, Beta club, Spirit Club, show choir and throughout Media. These experiences have helped shape me through strengthening my communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Informing others of the things I am curious passionate about has always been a hobby of mine. My writing typically explores the crossroads of statistics, research, and ethics with personal experience. I have always been drawn to stories that feel personal, powerful, and overlooked.
I plan to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering and a minor in journalism; hopefully continuing to create pieces filled with analysis and controversy, and crossing the invisible boundaries that surround hard topics.
I am thrilled to continue my journalism career, and submit my writing for judging. Thank you for this opportunity!
