Writing from EmpowerHer 4
Written by Kawsar K | December 2025
There was a girl, her name was Sanam,
Bright as the morning, like a shining star.
Always smiling, always kind,
With hope and dreams that filled her mind.
She loved her books, law and psychology,
Her heart was brave, her spirit free.
But then came the Taliban, cruel and harsh,
Stealing her dreams, trying to crush her heart.
They could not break her, she stood tall,
Whispering softly, “I’ll rise through it all.”
Her hope was strong, her courage high,
No fear could stop her, no tears could dry.
She studied hard, through nights and days,
Finding light in life’s shadowed ways.
Though the world tried to dim her flame,
Her spirit remained, her heart untamed.
Sanam knew, deep in her core,
Hope is her helper forevermore.
For every struggle, every pain,
She learned to dance, she learned to gain.
Even when cold winds fiercely blow,
Her dreams endure, her spirit grows.
Sanam’s story, a shining ray,
Teaching us to never sway.
