If you want a lightweight, versatile headset for office calls and casual driving with a secure in-ear fit, choose AMPACO Headset; if you need rugged, bone-conduction audio for swimming, open-air sports safety, and dedicated underwater music playback without your phone, choose SilisoundTek IP68.
These two devices solve completely different problems for the remote worker who also loves an active lifestyle. One is designed to be an unobtrusive companion for your desk and commute, while the other is built to survive the pool and keep you aware of traffic while running. The AMPACO prioritizes a traditional stereo experience that stays hidden, whereas the SilisoundTek prioritizes situational awareness and extreme durability through its open-ear design.
• AMPACO Headset: Its biggest strength is the dual-wear flexibility and lightweight plastic build perfect for all-day office wear; its trade-off is a standard IPX7 rating that handles sweat and rain but not submersion.
• SilisoundTek IP68: Its biggest strength is the IP68 deep waterproofing and 32GB internal storage allowing true wireless swimming; its trade-off is the bone conduction sound profile which may lack bass depth compared to sealed earbuds.
• Who is this for?: The AMPACO is for the remote worker who needs reliable stereo audio for meetings and music during commutes. The SilisoundTek is for the athlete or swimmer who refuses to compromise on safety or connectivity in wet environments.
The AMPACO Headset is engineered for the professional who spends hours staring at a screen but needs to stay connected. It features a dual-wear style that allows it to function as a traditional in-ear bud, offering a direct stereo experience ideal for conference calls and video meetings. The design relies on a lightweight plastic enclosure that keeps the device comfortable during long sessions, making it a strong contender for those seeking best ear clip headphones for remote work that don't feel heavy or intrusive.
Its waterproofing level is listed as Waterproof, specifically rated IPX7, which means it can handle splashes, heavy sweat, and accidental drops in water, but it is not intended for submersion. This makes it perfectly suitable for outdoor use during light rain or intense workouts where moisture is present, yet it remains focused on terrestrial activities like driving or working from a home office. The inclusion of a microphone and touch controls ensures you can manage media and calls without fumbling with your device, a crucial feature for anyone juggling tasks while working remotely.

However, if your daily routine involves frequent swimming or you require absolute protection against deep water immersion, this unit is not the right tool. The battery is rechargeable, and the unit includes a retractable cable feature, suggesting a focus on convenience and portability for users who might forget their charging accessories. It is a solid choice for the business traveler or the hybrid worker who values a secure fit and clear audio quality over specialized sports features. You should skip this model if you are looking for bone conduction technology or if you plan to take your audio gear directly into a pool or ocean.
The SilisoundTek IP68 is a specialist device built for those who refuse to leave their music behind when they hit the water. With an IP68 rating, it exceeds traditional limitations and supports deep waterproofing for swimming, surfing, and diving. This makes it the definitive choice for anyone asking about in ear headphones for remote work who also trains in aquatic environments. Unlike standard earbuds that fail when submerged, this unit uses a liquid silicone construction and a robust seal to ensure functionality even underwater.
A standout feature is the built-in 32GB MP3 player, which allows you to load over 8,000 songs directly onto the device. This means you can disconnect entirely from your smartphone and still enjoy high-quality audio while swimming, skiing, or hiking. The Bluetooth 6.0 support ensures a stable connection up to 13 meters when you are on land, and it supports connecting multiple devices simultaneously, such as a phone and a smartwatch. The open-ear bone conduction design leaves your ears uncovered, allowing you to hear your surroundings clearly—a critical safety factor for running, cycling, or any activity where situational awareness is paramount.
This headset is not for everyone, particularly those who demand deep bass or complete isolation from the world. The bone conduction driver type delivers sound through vibration rather than air pressure, creating a unique listening experience that prioritizes safety and environmental awareness. It comes with accessories like earplugs and an adjusting belt to ensure a snug fit during vigorous movement. If you are a runner who wants to avoid blocking out car horns or a swimmer who wants to listen to playlists without carrying a phone, this is the only logical choice. However, if you prefer the immersive silence of noise-canceling technology for quiet office work, the open design might let in too much ambient noise.

For my specific recommendation regarding for remote work, I would buy the AMPACO Headset. While the SilisoundTek is an incredible piece of engineering for athletes, the reality of a remote workday often involves sitting at a desk for hours, attending back-to-back Zoom calls, and taking short walks around the neighborhood. The AMPACO's in-ear design provides the consistent audio quality and microphone clarity needed for professional communication, and its IPX7 rating is more than sufficient for the occasional rainy commute. The SilisoundTek's open-ear design, while safe, lets in too much background noise for focused work, and its complex features like the MP3 player are unnecessary if you have a smartphone nearby. In my opinion, the AMPACO strikes the better balance between professional utility and everyday durability.
No, the AMPACO Headset is rated IPX7, which protects against splashes and sweat but does not support submersion in water like the SilisoundTek IP68.
Yes, it has a built-in 32GB MP3 player that stores thousands of songs, allowing you to listen to music underwater or on runs without needing a connected device.
The SilisoundTek IP68 is superior for this because its bone conduction design leaves your ears open, whereas the AMPACO's in-ear design blocks out ambient sounds.
The package includes a charging cable that supports data transmission, and the unit uses fast magnetic charging technology to reach a full charge in about 1.5 to 2 hours.
