If you want a lightweight, versatile Bluetooth headset for office calls and general listening with a focus on comfort during long wear, choose AMPACO Headset; if you need a dedicated underwater audio solution that keeps your ears open to the world while swimming, choose Opinta Bone Conduction Swimming.
• AMPACO Headset: Its biggest strength is its dual-wear versatility and IPX7 waterproof rating, making it suitable for everything from office meetings to rainy runs; its trade-off is that it lacks specialized underwater audio technology or significant internal storage for offline music.
• Opinta Bone Conduction Swimming: Its biggest strength is the robust IPX8 rating combined with 32GB of internal storage and bone conduction tech, allowing you to listen safely while submerged or running outdoors without blocking environmental noise; its trade-off is that it cannot use Bluetooth underwater and relies on MP3 mode for aquatic activities.
• The AMPACO pick is best for professionals who need a reliable microphone for Zoom calls and a durable companion for light sports.
• The Opinta pick is essential for serious swimmers and runners who prioritize situational awareness and underwater functionality over traditional stereo isolation.
The AMPACO Wireless Headset is designed with a clear focus on versatility and adaptability. It features a dual-wear style that allows users to switch between different configurations, which is particularly useful for people who move between different environments throughout their day. Whether you are sitting in a quiet office cubicle, driving a car, or stepping out for a quick workout, this headset aims to provide a consistent experience. The inclusion of a retractable cable feature suggests a design philosophy centered on convenience and reducing clutter, even though the primary connectivity is wireless via Bluetooth.
For those specifically looking for a best volume limiting head phones for zoom calls, the AMPACO unit offers a practical solution. When you are on a video conference, having a built-in mic means you do not need to fumble with separate equipment. The touch control method allows for easy media management without needing to reach for a phone, keeping your hands free for typing or gesturing. This makes it a strong candidate for remote workers who spend hours daily in virtual meetings.

However, this product is not a specialist tool for extreme aquatic sports. While it boasts an IPX7 water resistance level, which protects against sweat and rain, it does not carry the same underwater engineering as dedicated swimming gear. If your primary goal is to dive deep or swim laps with high-intensity pressure on the device, this might not be the ideal choice. Additionally, the item weight of 0.3 kg indicates a sturdier build compared to ultra-lightweight earbuds, which some users might find slightly heavier for all-day continuous wear, though the plastic enclosure ensures durability. It is perfect for the adult user who needs a single device to handle business, driving, and moderate exercise, but it falls short for anyone whose main activity involves submerging the device in water.
The Opinta Bone Conduction Swimming headphone is a purpose-built tool for athletes who refuse to disconnect from their environment or their playlist while training. Unlike traditional in-ear buds that seal off the ear canal, this device uses open-ear technology to allow sound to travel through the cheekbones directly to the inner ear. This design choice is revolutionary for safety. You can enjoy your favorite music, podcasts, or coaching cues while remaining fully aware of traffic, other swimmers, or gym surroundings. The soft silicone construction and a mere 30g weight ensure that the device stays secure and comfortable even during intense physical exertion, whether you are cycling, hiking, or diving.
A standout feature for the avid swimmer is the massive 32GB internal storage capacity. Because Bluetooth signals cannot penetrate water, the Opinta includes a dedicated MP3 player mode that lets you load your own tracks onto the device before hitting the pool. You can take your entire library underwater without needing to tether yourself to a phone. The IPX8 waterproof rating is the industry benchmark here, guaranteeing protection even at depths up to 3 meters under high water pressure. This level of durability is non-negotiable for divers and competitive swimmers who need gear that will survive repeated submersion. The latest Bluetooth 5.4 technology ensures fast and stable connections when you are back on land, bridging the gap between wired and wireless experiences seamlessly.
While the battery life offers up to 8 hours of playback on a single charge, which is sufficient for most training sessions, the reliance on multi-functional buttons rather than touch controls is a deliberate design choice. Buttons are often easier to operate with wet fingers or while wearing gloves, ensuring you can pause, skip tracks, or answer calls without fumbling. However, this specialization comes with a caveat: if you are looking for spatial audio bluetooth headphones for zoom calls with immersive surround sound, the open-ear design of the Opinta may not deliver the isolated, rich bass response that closed-back headphones provide. It excels at clarity and safety, but it trades off the deep, immersive audio experience that some audiophiles seek. It is strictly for those who value hearing their surroundings as much as they value their music.

In my opinion, I would buy the Opinta Bone Conduction Swimming if my primary motivation was staying active and safe during workouts, especially if I swim regularly. The ability to go underwater with full music access and maintain awareness of my surroundings is a game-changer that no other product in this comparison offers. However, for a kids headset for zoom calls or for an adult working remotely who needs a reliable, hands-free microphone setup, the AMPACO Headset is the superior choice due to its traditional earbud form factor and business-focused features. Ultimately, if you need a tool for Zoom calls that balances professional audio quality with casual sport utility, the AMPACO wins on versatility, but if you need a dedicated performance tool for the pool, the Opinta is unmatched.
No, Bluetooth signals do not transmit through water. You must switch the Opinta to MP3 mode using its built-in 32GB storage to listen to music while submerged.
The AMPACO headset has an IPX7 water resistance rating, which handles sweat and rain well, but it is not rated for the high-pressure submersion required for swimming like the IPX8-rated Opinta.
The Opinta Bone Conduction Swimming headphones weigh only 30 grams, making them significantly lighter than the 0.3 kg AMPACO Headset, which may be more noticeable during extended use.
