If you want a versatile, lightweight headset with a retractable microphone for Zoom calls and general office work, choose AMPACO Headset; if you need a specialized IPX8 waterproof bone conduction device with 8GB storage for swimming and underwater training, choose sunvito Bone Conduction Swimming.
• AMPACO Headset: Its biggest strength is the dual-wear design and included retractable microphone, making it adaptable for business and driving, but its trade-off is that it lacks the deep underwater sealing and internal storage required for serious aquatic sports.
• sunvito Bone Conduction Swimming: This unit excels with its open-ear bone conduction technology and built-in 8GB MP3 player that functions perfectly underwater without a phone, yet it trades off standard stereo ear-cup isolation and a dedicated boom mic optimized for video conferencing.
• Who picks AMPACO: Professionals needing a hands-free solution for meetings and daily commuting who value a lightweight, plastic build with touch controls.
• Who picks sunvito: Athletes and swimmers who require secure, waterproof gear for pool training and need to listen to music offline while submerged.
The AMPACO Wireless Headset is designed primarily as a flexible tool for the modern professional or commuter. It positions itself as a dual-style TWS (True Wireless Stereo) solution that can be worn in various configurations, though its primary utility shines when paired with its specific feature set for office and business environments. The inclusion of a microphone is central to its identity; unlike many sport-focused earbuds that prioritize ambient awareness over voice clarity, this unit integrates audio capture directly into the hardware. For someone looking for a best wireless headset for zoom calls that doesn't feel like bulky over-ear gear, the AMPACO offers a streamlined alternative. The design features a plastic enclosure that keeps the overall weight manageable, which is crucial during long meetings where physical comfort dictates focus.
What makes this headset particularly interesting for the remote worker is the combination of Bluetooth connectivity with a retractable cable feature mentioned in the specifications. While the exact mechanics of how a "retractable" cable interacts with a "wireless" Bluetooth mode might seem contradictory at first glance, the data suggests a hybrid approach or a specific charging case mechanism that ensures the device remains tethered or easily accessible when needed. The touch control interface allows users to manage media and calls without reaching for a phone, a critical convenience when your hands are full or you are driving. The IPX7 water resistance rating indicates it can handle sweat and light rain, making it suitable for the gym or a run before heading straight to a call, but it is not built for submersion.

However, this product is not for everyone. If you are an avid swimmer or plan to take your audio gear into the pool, this headset will not survive the pressure or depth of underwater use. The lack of internal storage means it relies entirely on a connected smartphone for audio playback, which can be a limitation if you leave your phone behind during a workout. Furthermore, the open nature of some TWS designs means you won't get the noise cancellation found in premium studio headphones. You should skip this model if your primary use case involves heavy water exposure or if you require a dedicated, high-fidelity stereo experience that blocks out the world completely. It fits best for adults who need a reliable, lightweight companion for office tasks, driving, and casual fitness, but who do not need to dive deep into the pool with their music.
The sunvito Bone Conduction Swimming Headphones are engineered with a singular, aggressive purpose: to deliver audio to athletes who train in water. Unlike traditional earbuds that seal the ear canal, this device uses an open-ear design that sits outside the ear, transmitting sound through the cheekbones. This architectural choice is non-negotiable for safety and performance in aquatic environments, as it leaves the ear canal open to prevent water entrapment and allows users to hear their surroundings, such as lane lines or lifeguards, while listening to music. The standout feature here is the built-in 8GB storage capacity, which allows users to store up to 2500 songs directly on the device. This eliminates the need to carry a phone into the pool, solving the problem of wet electronics and tangled cords during intense lap sessions.
For those searching for the best with mic headset for zoom calls, one must be careful here. While the sunvito supports Bluetooth 5.4 for terrestrial use, its core design prioritizes the bone conduction driver and the 13-millimeter audio driver size to optimize for swimming. The frequency response of 20 KHz and sensitivity of 130 dB suggest a robust audio output, but the open-ear nature means sound leaks out, which might not be ideal for a quiet conference room where privacy is paramount. However, the switch between Bluetooth mode and MP3 mode is seamless, offering flexibility. When you are out of the water, you can connect wirelessly to your phone via the 10-meter range, but once you hit the pool, you switch to the internal storage for stable playback. The magnetic charging system adds a layer of convenience, ensuring the battery recharges quickly after a long day of training.
This product is explicitly for the adult athlete who takes their workouts seriously. The silicone enclosure and open-ear shape provide a secure fit that withstands the motion of swimming strokes. The IPX8 waterproof rating is the industry benchmark for submersion, meaning this device can handle the pressure of diving and repeated exposure to chlorinated or salt water. If you are looking for a kids headset for zoom calls, this might be overkill and potentially uncomfortable due to the bone conduction pressure on the skull, which can vary by individual head shape. It is also less suitable for those who need active noise cancellation. You should buy this if you need a dedicated swim trainer's accessory that doubles as a rugged outdoor headphone, but avoid it if you need a traditional earbud for passive noise blocking or if you cannot tolerate the sensation of vibration on your face.
