If you want a versatile, swim-proof headset with a retractable cable for mixed-use scenarios like office work and driving, choose AMPACO Headset; if you need deep bass, a secure ergonomic fit for intense workouts, and fast connectivity for music production on the go, choose SUNGOOYUE Earbuds Earbuds Heavy.
• AMPACO Headset: Its standout strength is the unique dual-wear design combined with IPX7 swimming waterproofing and a retractable cable, but it lacks the specific bass emphasis and heavy-duty earplugs needed for high-intensity gym sessions.
• SUNGOOYUE Earbuds: It excels with a "Heavy Bass" profile, Bluetooth 5.3 stability, and four included earplug sizes for a custom fit, though it does not offer the same level of submersion protection or the multi-style versatility of the AMPACO unit.
• Who each pick is for: The AMPACO is ideal for professionals who need to transition between calls, swimming, and driving without swapping gear, while the SUNGOOYUE is the better choice for athletes and producers prioritizing sound impact and a locked-in fit during vigorous activity.
The AMPACO Wireless Headset is engineered for the person who refuses to be tethered to a single environment. With an IPX7 water resistance rating, this device is built to handle more than just sweat; it is designed to withstand full submersion, making it genuinely suitable for swimming or heavy rain exposure where most consumer electronics would fail. This level of durability is rare in the wireless space and immediately sets it apart for anyone who needs their audio gear to survive extreme conditions. The inclusion of a retractable cable feature adds another layer of practicality, offering a wired backup option that many modern TWS (True Wireless Stereo) units simply do not provide.
From a usability standpoint, the dual wear style is a significant advantage for those who need flexibility. You can wear them as traditional earbuds or utilize the headset configuration depending on your immediate task. Whether you are managing a busy office day, taking calls while driving, or working out, the ability to switch configurations without changing devices is a genuine time-saver. The touch control method allows for intuitive media management without fumbling for buttons, which is crucial when your hands might be wet or occupied.
However, this product is not for everyone. If your primary goal is to feel every thump of the kick drum or the deepest bass frequencies in a mix, the standard stereo tuning here might feel too neutral compared to specialized heavy-bass models. Furthermore, while the plastic enclosure keeps the weight manageable at roughly 0.3 kg for the whole set, it does not have the premium build feel of metal-infused audiophile gear. It is a tool for utility and survival, not necessarily for critical listening in a quiet studio setting. You should skip this if you require a dedicated, high-fidelity studio monitor setup, as this is fundamentally a rugged, multi-purpose sports and communication device.

The SUNGOOYUE Earbuds are clearly positioned for users who demand power and precision in their audio experience, particularly those engaging in high-energy activities or seeking a robust low-end response. The "Heavy Bass" designation in the title is not just marketing fluff; the design focuses on delivering an immersive sound profile that emphasizes the lower frequencies, which is often a priority for listeners who enjoy electronic music, hip-hop, or need a strong rhythmic foundation while working. The inclusion of a 200mAh charging case paired with dual 50mAh batteries ensures a reliable power source, providing between five to six hours of continuous playback on a single charge, which is sufficient for most long training sessions or commute times.
What truly distinguishes these earbuds for active users is the customization of the fit. The package includes four different replacement earplugs, allowing you to dial in the perfect seal for your specific ear canal shape. A secure seal is not just about comfort; it is essential for noise isolation and ensuring that the bass response remains punchy and controlled rather than muddy. Combined with the IPX7 sweat and rainproof rating, these earbuds are ready to handle the grueling conditions of a fitness routine without faltering. The Bluetooth 5.3 version further guarantees a stable connection with a range up to 10 meters, reducing dropouts even when you move away from your device during a workout.
For the music producer looking for wireless earbuds for music production that can double as a workout companion, this model offers a compelling balance. The ability to pair seamlessly with laptops, phones, tablets, and other digital assistants means you can switch contexts effortlessly. However, the lack of a retractable cable or dual-wear mode means you are committed to the earbud form factor. If you need to take calls while running and prefer a headset style that sits behind your neck or over your head for security, these might feel too loose by comparison. They are best suited for those who prioritize sound quality, battery longevity, and a secure physical lock-in during movement over versatility in wearing styles.
• Best for extreme water exposure: AMPACO Headset wins due to its explicit swimming waterproof rating and durable construction designed for submersion.
• Best for bass-heavy soundscapes: SUNGOOYUE Earbuds deliver the "Heavy Bass" profile and deeper low-end response required for rhythm-focused listening.
• Best for battery reliability: SUNGOOYUE offers a clear 5–6 hour playback window supported by a substantial 200mAh charging case, whereas AMPACO relies on its rechargeable battery without specific hour claims in the sheet.
• Best for fit customization: SUNGOOYUE provides four distinct earplug sizes to ensure a personalized, secure seal, a feature absent in the AMPACO description.
• Best for multi-environment versatility: AMPACO’s dual wear style and retractable cable make it superior for switching between office, driving, and sports without changing gear.
• Best for connection stability: SUNGOOYUE utilizes the newer Bluetooth 5.3 technology, promising faster pairing and a stable link up to 10 meters.
• Best for fast charging needs: While both are rechargeable, the SUNGOOYUE specifies a quick 1–2 hour charging time for the case, supporting rapid turnaround for active users.
• Best value for fitness enthusiasts: The combination of heavy bass, multiple ear tip sizes, and sweat resistance makes SUNGOOYUE the logical choice for gym-goers.
After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases for both devices, I recommend the SUNGOOYUE Earbuds Earbuds Heavy for anyone specifically looking for wireless earbuds for music production who also leads an active lifestyle. The heavy bass profile is a distinct advantage for producers needing to check low-frequency mixes, and the Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity ensures minimal latency issues during casual monitoring. The inclusion of four ear tip sizes demonstrates a thoughtful approach to user comfort and sound isolation, which is critical for accurate audio perception. While the AMPACO is a fantastic rugged tool for swimming and general utility, the SUNGOOYUE aligns better with the sonic requirements and physical demands of a producer on the move. I would buy the SUNGOOYUE because it balances performance, sound quality, and active durability more effectively for my specific needs.
Yes, the SUNGOOYUE model features a "Heavy Bass" design and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, making it a viable option for wireless earbuds for music production, especially for checking low-end frequencies on the go.
Absolutely. The AMPACO Headset carries an IPX7 water resistance rating, explicitly stating it is a swimming waterproof device capable of handling submersion, unlike standard sweat-proof models.
Based on the provided specs, the SUNGOOYUE earbuds offer 5 to 6 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge, supported by a 200mAh charging case, which is a solid duration for active listening sessions.
