Firma Google Inc. oraz Apple Inc. są podmiotami całkowicie niezależnymi od Wydawcy, nie ma obowiązku konsultować z Wydawcą podejmowanych decyzji, zaś Wydawca nie ma żadnego wpływu na decyzje Google Inc. oraz Apple Inc. , a co za tym idzie na mechanizmy programistyczne wprowadzane na poziomie systemu operacyjnego Android i iOS, od których zależna jest aplikacja Wydawcy.
