Having said that, UltreEdit offers you a a lot of ways to customise your keymappings. Here is a good overview: _power_tips/ultraedit/keymapping.html. AFAIK You can change every single keymapping. Once you have customised your keymappings to your liking, you can also back up the keymapping file and use it in other installations (the location of the keymapping file is outlined in the overview).
I'm currently using UltraEdit (www.ultraedit.com, UE) for COBOL
source editing. Using an FTP account in UE so that all sources
are always stored on the VMS box. I'm currently adding some
features to the COBOL "word-file" that is available on the
UltraEdit site ( ).
There was no "code folding" and "brace matching" defined, so
I have added folding for "SECTION/EXIT", "IF/END-IF" and so on
and brace matching for "IF/END-IF", "EVALUATE/END-EVALUATE".There is also a "word file" for "Digital Command Language"... :-)
Just tried it and I get "brace matching" in if/endif pairs and
code folding of if/endif code sections. Nice... :-)
Well, efter adding that to the file, the file from the site
as is does only keyword coloring.Now, I might upload my new UEW files to the UltraEdit site
when I have worked a bit more on them. Whould there be any
interest in these files ?Note:"Brace matching" : When the cursor is on an "if", the corresponding
"endif" is highlighted. Works correctly for nested if/endif of course.

Hi guys,
It is my first time creating a system on a S4C controller with ultraedit. Have used Robot Studio in the past with the IRC5s and it was a piece of cake. Is there a better program out there besides ultraedit ? Haven't used ultraedit that much beside making some modifications to programs and to FTP files out.
