Mr Amit Nath currently working as a Librarian at the Central Library, Sreegopal Banerjee College, Bagati, Magra, Hooghly- 712148, under the University of Burdwan. Previously he worked as a Library Assistant at the B. C. Roy Memorial Library, Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Kolkata- 700104, WB, India. He graduated in Geography (Honours) in 2016 from Chandernagore Government College under The University of Burdwan. He earned his master's and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Library and Information Science from the University of Kalyani in 2018 and 2024, respectively. He was awarded a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2018 and served as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at the University of Kalyani for almost five years. He has published over 20 research papers in national and international journals and conferences. His research areas include Digital archiving, Scholarly Communications, Altmetrics, Data Carpentry, Research data management, Scientometrics, and Sociology of science.
