About Me

I am a faculty member in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali, India, since 2008. Prior to that I was a Visiting Scientist at Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore/Delhi, and a postdoctoral researcher at Universite catholique de Louvain, Belgium. I did my PhD from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai in the broad area of algebra.

My research interests include central simple algebras, quadratic forms, linear algebraic groups, word maps on groups. I am also interested in interacting with school teachers and students and pedagogy of mathematics.

While not at work, I could be found reading Hindi literature - particularly twentieth century Hindi poetry.
