Physicist - Electrical Engineer
I am a physicist and electrical engineer based in Montréal, working at the intersection of integrated photonics, electromagnetics, and quantum science. I received my B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, with a focus on microwaves and photonics, and my M.Sc. in Physics from McGill University, where my research focused on quantum photonics.
My work combines fundamental physical modeling with computational design, fabrication-aware engineering, and experimental characterization of photonic, microwave, and quantum systems. I am particularly interested in resonant and coupled systems, nonlinear and quantum optics, integrated devices, open-system dynamics, and the interaction between electromagnetic hardware, noise, measurement, and control.

Outside research, I enjoy playing the violin, soccer and volleyball, hiking, photography, drawing, and astronomy. I have also remained involved in physics and astronomy education through several years of teaching and Olympiad mentoring.
