I am a PhD candidate in Operations Research with a minor in Machine Learning at the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University. I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Willem-Jan van Hoeve.

My primary research interest lies at the interface of machine learning algorithms and their application in operations management. In particular, I am interested in the design and analysis of machine learning algorithms under a management science lens. My work centers around interpretable machine learning, with the aim of generating knowledge for data-driven decision making.

Prior to my PhD, I completed an MSc degree in Management Sciences at University of Waterloo, where I had the pleasure of working with Prof. Fatma Gzara. I earned my BSc degree in Industrial Engineering at AmirKabir University of Technology.

I am on the 2019-2020 academic job market.
