Welcome to the human paleoecology lab

Our Research

The Human Paleoecology Lab at the University of Arkansas focuses on mammal ecology and evolution to answer questions about the evolution of humans from Africa to North America. We explore the changing impact of humans through time and ask when our ancestors became the ecosystem engineers that have modified ecosystems globally. We are an interdisciplinary lab that incorporate techniques from neoecology, geosciences, stable isotope ecology, macroecology, and paleoanthropology.
