Hello, just got my new pc with a AMD Ryzen 5 2400G CPU and a AMD A320M PRO-M2 motherboard, im using Ethernet rightnow to write this, but i wanna use Wi-Fi. So can someone help me install wifi drivers?

I purchased a Asus TUF Gaming X570 Pro Wifi and it uses Intel Drivers for both its Wifi and Bluetooth drivers. So in my case I use Intel Driver updating app to update those two Intel drivers on my motherboard.

Modem/Router:

1) Reboot you wifi-router, maybe even reset it to factory defaults

2) Make sure you do not use the default password for wifi-router management console, nor to wifi connection (WPA should be disabled as it offers no protection at all)

3) After setting those things and making sure there are no firmware updates available for your router, reboot it again

Computer hardware and software:

1) Clear CMOS (unplug computer from wall socket, ledt LEDs dimm out, connect CLR CMOS pins in right lower corner for a few second using a tip of screw driver)

2) When you boot up, set DOCP back on, enable fTPM, SVM, UEFI boot to Windows and what other settings you use and that wifi is enabled and if there is any bifurcation setting, it is on Auto.

3) Do not enable/install any internet enhancers, TurboLANs nor install Asus Crate - if you have any, uninstall them

4) Make sure you have wifi-antenna screwed all the way in.

5) Uninstall wifi-adapter from Windows and reboot

5) Reinstall wifi-adapter using latest drivers from Asus website

6) Go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections -> right click on your wifi-connection and choose diagnose and let Windows do its thing.

You can also try to connect your computers wifi to your smartphone by enabling HotSpot-feature on your phone. Smartphones tend to overheat soon if you use them to download large files (tens or hundreds of gigabytes), so this is only for temporary use and testing. Also if you live in some terrible country, they can charge you by how much internet you use.

I did the CMOS reset, verified/changed the BIOS settings, and on login had the same issues. I did not do anything with my router. Right now the WIFI card is not functioning so it cannot even see the wifi. I cannot do the wifi diagnose for the same reason.

12(60A)+2(60A)+2 power stages are rated to handle up to 60 amperes, combining high-side and low-side MOSFETS and drivers into a single package to deliver power, efficiency and stable performance for all compatible AMD processors.

1. Max boost for AMD Ryzen processors is the maximum frequency achievable by a single core on the processor running a bursty single-threaded workload. Max boost will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to: thermal paste; system cooling; motherboard design and BIOS; the latest AMD chipset driver; and the latest OS updates. But after installing Clean windows. I mean I have deleted all the partitions and installed new windows. But after completing the installation everything is working without Wifi. There is no wifi on my laptop now. is not available at this moment so I can't download the driver. I have downloaded multiple drivers but nothing is working. or I don't know which version should be perfect for me. Please anyone help me to find the correct Wifi Driver for my laptop.

My question is: should I install both/all versions or just the AMD/Intel ones? Why are there Intel versions of the WIFI and Bluetooth drivers when it is a AMD chipset motherboard?

And 2. This week for whatever reason my desktop is not recognizing my 5GHz band wifi upon boot up. I now have to turn off the WIFI in Windows and then turn it back on and hope it even sees my 5GHz wifi band.. I have a 2.4GHz band and my computer will see that all day but for whatever reason, my desktop has been very flaky picking up my exact WIFI on 5GHZ. I am in a 4-plex and Windows picks up several other 5GHz bands right away but now it's being super flaky with my own (obviously closer and more familiar) 5GHz WIFI while not loosing signal of the 2.4GHz band ever. That's why I'm thinking it's my machine and not my network.

Thanks!

Indeed, I do know that. I had a Razer Blade '14 that had a Killer WIFI card in it and then switched it out with an Intel WIFI card, hence finding those particular drivers on Intel's site.

It's just a little surprising to me that on an already WIFI built motherboard that has an AMD chipset they offer Intel WIFI drivers as well. I got a motherboard with WIFI onboard so I didn't have to get an Intel LAN/WIFI PCIe card. Just a little odd to me.

Thence I wanted to make sure that I would get full functionality and speed if I only install the AMD drivers since MSI offers both AMD and Intel for one motherboard.

Hi. I am trying to install a wifi driver for my RTL 8111/8168/8411 PCI ExpressGigabit Ethernet controller. Which driver should I install? Manjaro Setting Manager says that the driver is not installed.

EDIT: I see that my wifi board requires kernel 5.2 so getting it working is going to take a lot of work. I will do a lot more reading. I found this Qubes discussion on how to update the kernel in the Debian or Fedora VMs.

Following the guide (Windows 11 Installation on the Framework Laptop DIY Edition - Framework Guides) I used the media creation tool on a usb stick. The install on the laptop with that worked until the wifi connection screen during the setup process.

um, how does your post add to this thread as well?

I was explaining why there are no w7 x64 drivers for the network card built on x470. it is because microsoft has alienated their older user base and went to android style OS where they control the OS and can check on everything.

There is no sign of the kernel modules being built. There is no sign of the driver trying to load.

So I guess the module build failed.

Do you have the kernel-headers for your kernel installed? linux-image-$(uname-r) would be the name of the package.

What does dkms status say?

I would look at the man page for lsmod; to my unexperienced eye it sounds like the kernel module containing the driver is not loaded. I am guessing that is what UNCLAIMED refers to; no kernel driver is claiming this PCIe device as its responsibility.

I am not positive what the relationship is between the mt7921e module and the mt76 driver proper, but mt7921e appears to be in some way a subcomponent of mt76. It really is irritating how the kernel wiki and web documentation makes no mention of mt7921e, despite it being the name that users will need to give to modprobe.

Regardless, the issue seems to be that the while the existing driver supports your MediaTek wireless lan controller, it does not know to look for the new PCI ID until that patch is added to the kernel. So, the respondent on askUbuntu recommended either modifying some config files, or running two commands at runtime each boot; both seem to be telling the mt7921e driver to try to use a device it does not natively recognise.

I wonder if this was partly the problem, if AMD or MediaTek was overly aggressive in keeping these rebranded devices under wraps, and therefore their PCI IDs did not make it into the Linix kernel drivers in time.

I updated the bios to 2803 but no change.

The WiFi driver I have been using is the current driver 22.150.0.

All the Asus drivers you mention in your last post have already been installed.

The only question I have with your last post is about the link:

I have an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G processor and onboard graphics. I am using the Asus vga driver from their download site.

I updated the bios to 2803 from 2604. Using a clean SSD I installed Windows 11 Pro. Initially installed only the chipset and WiFi drivers from Asus downloads, which are the same I had been using. After the initial install I did not run Widows update. I configured the WiFi for wake on magic packet and disabled pattern match and the issue remained. Ran Windows update with no change and then installed the Intel WiFi driver with no change. e24fc04721
