I have exactly this same problem. Have a new laptop with a sticker that says AMD RADEON Graphics. Absolutely nothing in the box, or system devices to indicate exactly what model GPU it is and I desperately need to find some means of adjusting the settings. There should be an AMD app that allows this but its missing. The AMD site is absolutely useless. Referring to an auto detect tool which actually isn't there and without being able to determine which model GPU how the %$@! can you download drivers for it? Have you people actually sat down and used your website from the perspective of someone who needs to find out this information. Try it and let us know how you get on.

Thanks for that. Somehow I ended up with the adrenaline edition for that particular CPU/GPU which actually came with an auto detect tool. Took a punt and figured if I ran it and returns a compatible result then OK to install driver. And it worked. AMD still deserve a shellacking for saying they have an auto detect app when they actually don't. Most of the drivers don't come with one so it's still a lucky dip if you don't know

In the Drivers & Support section, you'll need to select your product. Choose the appropriate options for your AMD product, such as graphics card or processor series. Look for an option related to automatic driver detection or the Auto-Detect and Install Tool. AMD often provides a tool that can automatically detect your hardware and suggest the latest drivers. Once you've found the Auto-Detect Tool, click on the download button. This should initiate the download process. The download might take some time depending on your internet speed. Be patient and allow the download to finish. Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file and run the installer. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the AMD Auto-Detect Tool. After installation, run the Auto-Detect Tool. It will scan your system and recommend the appropriate AMD drivers for your hardware.

I've been attempting to update my chipset drivers for some time as the version that was pushed from Windows Update has been causing issues. In the past it's been simple, I download the auto detect tool and I'm done.

Now the auto detect tool has gone missing and when you go searching for it you just end up in a loop of going to a KB article which points to the support page where the auto detect tool is no longer available and neither are drivers for my specific device.

i recently switched from a r9 390 to a rx580. i uninstalled the previous driver, and had to install windows driver to detect the new graphic. Now, when i try to update the drivers with the amd auto-detection tool or with the specific driver installer, both software stuck on the hardware detection window and i am unable to complete the drivers update

Dont use the Auto detection it can be flawed & bugged with 10. You better off to download straight off AMD site the most upto date driver for your card & install it as a clean install manually. Pay to download DDU first run it threw & wipe any existing display driver, run a registry cleaner which does help 9\10 problems can be solved with a registry clean. Manually install drivers as a fresh install with Antivirus disabled as some anti virus's can over ride & stop the AMD drivers installing properly.

I don't mean to be a complete noob here. I am trying to see if my current laptop drivers are up to date. When going onto the AMD website, drivers, it mentions an auto-detect tool that can be downloaded to do this all for you. I hit the link 'Get Drivers with AMD Auto-Detect and Install Tool' which takes me to an FAQ page now how to install it. Going to the downloads and setup section it says that this tool can be downloaded from the 'AMD drivers and support' page, which takes me right back to the page where I would have to manually insert the product I have..... Like where on earth is the download link for this auto-detect tool??

I'd usually do a fresh gpu driver install for regular devices but not sure if its a good idea to do a clean install for xg mobile's driver as it might be propriotory/heavily customised?, the stock one is giving me really bad performance (2022 x13+6850m) and is underperforming comparing to my legion5(100w 6600m) in league/pubg even when using a external monitor through xg's dp port. *The stock's radeon software page from asus's driver download page doesnt have a 'check fo update' button.

So I installed this program hoping that it would automatically install the chipset and processor drivers for my 2700x, and only a couple days later I have noticed that my nvidia gpu has been acting slower than usual. I highly doubt that AMD would do something scummy like this, but could it be the fault of the AMD Tool?

I've done some quick searching and heard that the 5900HX should work, but I wanted to double check if there's anything official from AMD about the auto-detect update, before committing to anything; and if anyone knew anything around this?

In my experience their auto detect feature never worked (same with Nvidia's, though Nvidia's at least worked once), so I wouldn't exactly call it much of a loss for it to be gone if it is. Just use the 5900HX driver, with most devices the driver is actually shared between same generation devices, so you're likely going to be downloading the same package no matter what.

I recently moved to a rx 570 and I have found the fan control for AMD cards to be a bit wonky. Mine wouldnt turn the fan on. The nice thing is there are quite a few good applications for controlling the fan radeon-profile and radeon-profile-daemon-git are the ones I settled on. Its in the AUR. Highly recommended. You can get it to auto start in the tray and the fan curve is easy to setup.

Application to read current clocks of ATi Radeon cards (xf86-video-ati, xf86-video-amdgpu) - GitHub - marazmista/radeon-profile: Application to read current clocks of ATi Radeon cards (xf86-video-a...

Tried Radeon-profile, and it works.

Probably a little more than I need because I only care about the fan speeds, not all the other bits. Had to set up the daemon through systemd, then put the client in my autostart, and now my fan curves are automatically applied and used. nice!

After research, I decided on a Sapphire Radeon 7750 video card for my Dell 660. After installation, the card was working fine, until I installed drivers for it. After restarting the computer, the monitor went to sleep mode, and acted as if there was no signal coming from the video card. I had to plug the monitor back into the onboard graphics, and removed any traces of the 7750 install. Without drivers, the card worked again, and after installing new drivers, it stopped working again. I'm assuming it's working when it's on generic Windows drivers? I'm not too hot with this stuff, so I'm not sure. I tried disabling the onboard graphics, but there's no option for it in the bios, and some have said that isn't even necessary anyways since it should automatically disable them once a new card is detected. Disabling in device manager did nothing. From all the review recommendations, I've seen other people with the exact same setups (processor, OS, power supply, etc.) running this card, so it's got to be something on my end (user error most likely, haha), right?

Did you use the drivers from AMD's website or the ones that came on the CD with your card? what ever your answer is you might try doing the opposite ... or let windows look and install its own drivers for the card. AMD's website also has an auto detect feature that detects what you have in your system and picks a driver.
