Research Center Redesign

In 2014, the Maria Mitchell Association (MMA) began plans to redesign the historic science library building into a modern research center focused on ecology. At the time, I was the Director of Natural Science and I used SketchUp to design the spaces that were completed Summer 2018. A major challenge was making sure there was enough space for cabinets that store 10,000 biological specimens. Opening the Research Center was a huge accomplishment for the MMA and the many people who helped with the project.
