Daniel Ambrosini | Trumpet • Educator

Daniel Ambrosini is a freelance trumpet player and music educator from Southern California. Daniel is currently active in the Southern California music education community as The Director of Instrumental Music for The School of Arts and Enterprise.

Daniel attended California State University's Bob Cole Conservatory of Music where he received his Bachelor's of Music in Instrumental Music Education. At Cole Conservatory, Daniel studied trumpet with Dave Evans and Robert Frear as well as brass chamber music with Richard Birkemeier. Daniel also studied music education with Daniel Zanutto and worked as a music clinician and brass coach for surrounding district middle schools and high schools. After graduating, Daniel completed his Single Subject Teaching Credential through National University where he student taught under the direction of Sarah Owen at Ramona Middle School. Daniel also studied jazz improvisation and pedagogy through Berklee School of Music's online continuation program.

In 2015 Daniel was hired at The School of Arts and Enterprise, a public charter school in the heart of the Arts Colony in Downtown Pomona. At The School of Arts and Enterprise Daniel designed and implemented a collegiate-style, UC approved, instrumental music curriculum and pathway for grades 9-12 including a Wind Ensemble, Jazz Big Band, and a Pop/Rock program. In 2016 Daniel became the Director of Instrumental Music for The School of Arts and Enterprise where he helped develop a fully-articulated grades 6-12 instrumental music program with over 10 performing ensembles including: a percussion ensemble, two traditional wind bands, two jazz big bands, four jazz combos, three pop/rock/commercial ensembles, a handbell choir, and a mariachi band. Daniel's Concert Jazz Ensemble and Senior Jazz Combo recently attended the Riverside City College Jazz Festival where both groups received a Division 2nd - the first time in the school's history.

Daniel is currently an active member of SCSBOA, NAfME, CMEA, and California Alliance for Jazz. Daniel recently became a Certified Google Educator - Level 1. Daniel plans on attending graduate school in pursuit of his Master of Arts in Education in 2019.
