Welcome!
I am Amber Xiaoyan Liu. I am an Assistant Professor in the Information Systems and Analytics department at the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University.
My research focuses on three primary domains: (i) socially responsible operations, (ii) online marketplace design and operations, and (iii) the operations-finance interface. I employ a suite of methodologies, encompassing data-driven analytics such as causal inference, predictive analytics, and field experimentation; and game-theoretical modeling to contribute depth and rigor to my research endeavors.
I earned my Ph.D. in Management (Concentration: Operations, Technology, and Information Management) at the Johnson School of Management, Cornell University.
