Welcome!
I am Amber Xiaoyan Liu. I am an Assistant Professor in the Information Systems and Analytics department at the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University.
My research focuses on three primary domains: (i) socially responsible operations, (ii) healthcare operations, and (iii) the operations and economics of online marketplaces. My research also explores the operations-finance interface.
I employ a comprehensive set of methodologies tailored to specific research problems, including data-driven analytics such as causal inference, machine learning, and field and survey experiments, as well as game-theoretic modeling and optimization, to bring rigor and depth to my research.
I earned my Ph.D. in Management (Concentration: Operations, Technology, and Information Management) at the Johnson School of Management, Cornell University.
