Amber Clark for Hamilton Local School Board of Education

My name is Amber Clark, and I am running for re-election to the Hamilton Local School Board this November. Through my role as current school board member and a mother of three children attending Hamilton Local School District, I am very familiar with the issues facing our community. I am also a Central Ohio teacher, so I know first hand the challenges facing public education today. If re-elected, I will continue to advocate for programs to increase access to elective class offerings to teach students 21st century skills and programs that provide additional resources and wrap-around supports to bridge the gap for families in need.

I am also an advocate for transparency and data-driven decision making, as well as the implementation of COVID-19 prevention strategies, to ensure our students have access to safe and uninterrupted, in-person learning this school year. I believe school leaders should follow the guidance of public health experts during the COVID-19 pandemic. I also support proactive planning and preparation through conversations with staff to reflect and learn from the good and bad of last year and to adapt and better address these challenges going forward.

I am passionate about building strong relationships between the teachers, administrators, and the citizens of the district. If re-elected, I will work hard to keep our schools exceptional and our taxes low, while continuing to expand opportunities for all students to meet their full potential.
