If you want deep, immersive audio with active noise cancellation for your PS5 gaming and music sessions, choose Amazon Renewed Sennheiser Momentum 4; if you need comfortable bone conduction headphones for ps5 that let you hear the room while playing, choose Weofly Mixer Open Ear. This isn't a debate about which is cheaper or which has more five-star reviews. It is a decision between two fundamentally different ways of experiencing sound on your console. One product seals you off from the world to deliver pure, high-fidelity immersion. The other keeps you connected to your surroundings while offering a lightweight, breathable fit that lasts all day. Both have specific strengths that make them ideal for different types of gamers and listeners. I am not here to tell you they are the same. They are not. Your choice depends entirely on whether you prioritize total silence and audiophile-grade detail or situational awareness and all-day comfort during long gaming marathons.
• Amazon Renewed Sennheiser Momentum 4: Delivers exceptional 60-hour battery life and adaptive noise cancellation for deep immersion; the trade-off is the over-ear design that creates isolation from your environment.
• Weofly Mixer Open Ear: Offers a sweat-free, breathable open-fit design with Snapdragon Sound for spatial audio; the trade-off is the lack of active noise cancellation and less physical isolation from background noise.
• The Verdict: Pick the Sennheiser for quiet, focused gaming or travel where distraction-free listening is key. Pick the Weofly for sports, open offices, or casual gaming where hearing your surroundings is essential.
The Amazon Renewed Sennheiser Momentum 4 is built for the listener who wants to disappear into their audio. Whether you are grinding through a competitive match on your PlayStation 5 or diving into a complex orchestral score, this headset is designed to block out the rest of the house. Its Adaptive Noise Cancellation is not just a feature; it is the core experience. You can adjust the transparency mode when you need to hear someone talking to you, but for 90% of usage, it creates a bubble of silence. This is crucial for a noise canceling on ear headphones for ps5 setup because it ensures you don't miss subtle in-game cues like footsteps or reload sounds amidst real-world distractions.

Battery anxiety is non-existent with this unit. That means you can play games for days without plugging in the USB-C cable. When you do need a top-up, the fast charging capability gets you back to full power in just 15 minutes. This is a massive advantage for anyone who forgets to charge their gear overnight. The lightweight folding design and deeply cushioned ear pads also mean you can wear these for marathon sessions without the pressure points that plague cheaper headsets. The included carrying case makes it easy to toss into a bag for travel or storage.
However, this product is not for everyone. If you live in a noisy household where you need to hear the doorbell or your kids running around, the closed-back design might feel isolating. The over-ear placement covers your entire ear, which can get warm during intense summer gaming sessions compared to open designs. Additionally, while the Bluetooth 5.0 connection is stable, it lacks the latest LE Audio/Auracast support found in newer models. You should buy this if you value premium sound quality and silence above all else. Skip it if you need a headset that lets air circulate around your ears or if you require the absolute latest connectivity standards for multi-device switching.
The Weofly Mixer Open Ear is engineered for people who refuse to be cut off from reality. This is the ultimate comfortable bone conduction headphones for ps5 alternative for those who hate the feeling of heavy cups pressing against their ears. The open-ear design uses directional acoustic steering to keep sound focused on you while allowing ambient noise to pass through naturally. This makes it perfect for gamers who want to stay aware of their room, perhaps to hear a roommate calling them dinner or to maintain a sense of presence during long online lobbies. The sweat-resistant nature of the liquid silicone material ensures that even during sweaty workout sessions or hot gaming marathons, the device stays cool and dry.
Sound quality here is approached differently than traditional closed headphones. By utilizing Qualcomm aptX HD and Snapdragon Sound technology, the Weofly aims to preserve audio detail and reduce latency. The 40mm dynamic driver delivers what is described as lossless CD-quality sound with IMAX-level immersion. While it cannot physically block out a vacuum cleaner, the CVC and ENC dual noise reduction technologies help clean up voice calls and minimize echo during multiplayer chats. The flat-fold design and included carrying case make it incredibly portable, fitting easily into a backpack pocket. With 40 hours of playtime, you still get excellent endurance, though it falls short of the Sennheiser's massive capacity.
This headset is best suited for users who prioritize comfort and situational awareness over total isolation. If you use your PS5 in a shared living space where you need to hear the TV volume or conversations, this is the safer choice. The button controls are straightforward, and the Bluetooth 5.4 connection offers a wider range and faster pairing than older standards. However, if you are looking for the deepest bass response or the ability to drown out a crying baby with pure silence, this open design will not meet your needs. It is a fantastic option for casual listening, commuting, or gaming in quiet environments where you don't need active noise cancellation.
• Best for Battery Life: The Amazon Renewed Sennheiser Momentum 4 wins decisively with 60 hours of playback compared to the Weofly's 40 hours.
• Best for Active Noise Cancellation: Only the Sennheiser offers true Adaptive Noise Cancellation; the Weofly relies on passive openness and digital call processing.
• Best for Situational Awareness: The Weofly Mixer Open Ear allows you to hear your surroundings clearly, making it superior for safety and social awareness.
• Best for Call Quality in Wind: The Sennheiser features four digital beamforming microphones specifically designed to suppress wind noise for optimized calls.
• Best for Long-Term Comfort: The Weofly's open-ear design distributes weight without sealing the ear canal, reducing heat buildup during extended wear.
• Best for Audiophile Detail: The Sennheiser's 42mm transducer system and aptX Adaptive support provide a broader frequency range (6 Hz to 22 kHz) for purer sound reproduction.
• Best for Multi-Device Switching: The Weofly supports multi-point connectivity and the newer LE Audio/Auracast standard for seamless device hopping.
• Best Warranty Coverage: The Weofly includes a 1-year guarantee, whereas the Amazon Renewed Sennheiser comes with a 90-day limited warranty.
In my opinion, if you are buying a sweat resistant gaming headset for ps5 primarily for immersive gameplay in a quiet home, the Amazon Renewed Sennheiser Momentum 4 is the clear winner. The combination of 60-hour battery life, adaptive noise cancellation, and premium audio drivers creates a professional-grade experience that simply feels more complete for serious gaming. However, if you are the type of gamer who needs to hear the dog bark, the doorbell, or just refuses to wear anything that traps heat, the Weofly Mixer Open Ear is the smarter, more comfortable choice. I would personally grab the Sennheiser for my daily rotation because the silence it provides allows me to focus entirely on the game, but I know many friends who swear by the Weofly for its "no-pressure" fit. Ultimately, the Sennheiser offers more technical power, while the Weofly offers better physical freedom.
Both support wireless connectivity suitable for gaming, but the Weofly explicitly mentions aptX Low Latency support, which helps reduce audio delay. The Sennheiser is optimized for high-fidelity streaming and may have slightly higher latency depending on the codec used, though it remains stable for most titles.
With the Weofly Mixer, the directional acoustic design minimizes leakage under normal volumes. People very close to you might notice faint sound, but it is generally not audible to others in a typical room setting.
Yes, if you prioritize performance. The 60-hour battery, superior noise cancellation, and high-resolution audio capabilities outweigh the 90-day warranty limit for most buyers. The renewed condition ensures firmware updates and reliable operation.
Both are capable. The Sennheiser excels with four digital beamforming microphones and wind noise suppression, making it ideal for outdoor or windy call scenarios. The Weofly uses CVC and ENC technology to handle noise well in cafes or busy streets, ensuring clear voice transmission.
