If you want pristine, studio-grade audio fidelity and an open soundstage for deep focus during long webinars, choose Amazon Renewed Sennheiser HD 560; if you need rugged, sweat-proof durability and the freedom to move while staying aware of your surroundings, choose RR SPORTS IP68.
• Amazon Renewed Sennheiser HD 560: Delivers neutral, reference-quality sound with a wide, natural soundstage but is wired only and offers zero isolation from background noise. Best for the stationary listener who prioritizes pure audio accuracy.
• RR SPORTS IP68: Offers bone conduction technology that keeps ears open for safety and features full IP68 waterproofing for swimming or intense workouts, but lacks the deep bass and immersion of traditional drivers. Best for active users who need hands-free mobility and water resistance.
The Amazon Renewed Sennheiser HD 560 is engineered specifically for the analytical listener who demands truth in their audio. This is not a headphone designed to color the music with artificial bass boosts or sibilant highs; it is built on a foundation of linear acoustics tailored to reveal the actual performance of your source material. The open-back earcup design allows sound waves to expand naturally, creating a lifelike depth and realism that mimics listening through high-end loudspeakers rather than inside a sealed box. If you are using this device as a headset for webinars, the wide soundstage provided by the Ergonomic Acoustic Refinement (E.A.R.) technology tilts the drivers to the natural angle of your ears, recreating that optimal triangular listening position found in professional recording studios. You get a front-row experience where every instrument sits in its precise place, offering an honest look inside your music whether you are mixing tracks or simply trying to stay focused during a long virtual meeting.
However, this level of transparency comes with significant trade-offs that dictate exactly who should buy this product. Because the enclosure is open, there is absolutely no noise control; these headphones will leak sound out to anyone nearby, and they will let every ambient noise from your room in. You cannot use these in a noisy coffee shop or a busy office without wearing noise-canceling gear over them, which defeats the purpose of the lightweight design. Furthermore, the connectivity is strictly wired via a 3.3-meter cable featuring a 6.3mm plug, though a 3.5mm adapter is included for devices with smaller jacks. This means you are tethered to your computer or amplifier, removing any wireless convenience. If you are looking for the best open ear earbuds for webinars because you want to move around, this is not the tool for the job. It is a stationary, high-fidelity instrument for those who sit down, put their head in, and demand nothing less than perfect frequency response from 6 Hz up to 38 kHz.

The build quality relies on a luxuriously soft earpad that rests around the ear for long-term comfort, supported by an ultra-light adjustable headband. At just 8.48 ounces, the weight is negligible, allowing for extended listening sessions without fatigue. The impedance sits at 120 ohms, which suggests it needs a decent amplifier to drive properly, making it ideal for desktop setups rather than casual mobile use. The package includes a detachable cable, meaning if the wire ever gets damaged, you can replace just that component rather than discarding the whole unit. This is a product for the audiophile who values technical specifications like dynamic driver type and extended low-end reach over modern conveniences like Bluetooth pairing or water resistance. It is the clear choice for someone who treats their listening environment as a controlled space and wants the most accurate reproduction possible.
The RR SPORTS IP68 is a completely different beast, designed from the ground up for the active individual who refuses to compromise between their workout and their audio. This device utilizes advanced bone conduction technology, which transmits sound vibrations directly through the cheekbones to the inner ear, leaving the ear canal completely open. This design philosophy makes it one of the best waterproof bluetooth earbuds for webinars if your primary concern is situational awareness, though it is far more at home in a pool or on a running trail. The IP68 rating confirms that the unit is fully waterproof and moisture-resistant, capable of withstanding submersion in up to 2 meters of water. Whether you are swimming laps, caught in a heavy rainstorm, or sweating through an intense gym session, the meticulously sealed design combined with a nano-hydrophobic coating ensures that internal components remain protected and undamaged.
One of the standout features for the mobile user is the dual-mode capability. You can store up to 7,000 songs directly onto the built-in 32GB memory, turning the headphones into a standalone MP3 player that requires no phone connection. This is incredibly liberating for swimmers or runners who want to leave their smartphones behind. When you do have your phone nearby, the latest Bluetooth 6.0 chip provides a stable connection with strong interference resistance and a range of up to 10 meters. The battery life supports up to 7 hours of continuous playback, which is sufficient for most daily commutes or training sessions. The open-ear design is crafted from ultra-soft silicone, ensuring a secure fit that stays in place even during vigorous movement, while also preventing hearing damage by avoiding the blockage of the ear canal.
This product is ideal for anyone who needs a headset for webinars but works in a shared space where they might need to hear colleagues or family members, or for those who simply prefer the feeling of having their ears free. The ergonomic design ensures all-day comfort, making it perfect for long workouts or extended periods of wear. However, the trade-off lies in the audio character; because the ears are open and the technology relies on vibration rather than air pressure, the sound profile will not match the deep, immersive bass of a closed-back headphone like the Sennheiser. It is safer and more versatile for outdoor activities, but it sacrifices the "reference" quality that defines the Sennheiser experience. If your priority is durability, water resistance, and the ability to hear the world around you while listening to audio, this is the definitive choice. It bridges the gap between a sports accessory and a functional communication device, offering a unique blend of security and sound that traditional earbuds simply cannot provide.

• Best for Durability and Water Resistance → RR SPORTS IP68: With an IP68 rating and the ability to handle submersion in 2 meters of water, this is the only option for swimming, showering, or surviving torrential rain without fear of damage.
• Best for Mobility and Wireless Freedom → RR SPORTS IP68: The Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity and optional 32GB internal storage allow you to leave your phone behind, whereas the Sennheiser requires a physical cable connection at all times.
• Best for Situational Awareness → RR SPORTS IP68: The open-ear bone conduction design lets you hear traffic, coworkers, or family members while listening, a critical safety feature for outdoor activity that the closed design of the Sennheiser cannot offer.
• Best for Long-Term Studio Listening → Amazon Renewed Sennheiser HD 560: The E.A.R. technology and open-back acoustic refinement create a spacious soundstage that reduces fatigue during hours of critical listening, something the compact bone conduction design cannot replicate.
• Best for Value in Active Scenarios → RR SPORTS IP68: The combination of waterproofing, built-in storage, and modern Bluetooth 6.0 makes it a versatile tool for multiple environments, from the gym to the office.
• Best for Critical Analysis → Amazon Renewed Sennheiser HD 560: With 120 ohms of impedance and a dynamic driver tuned for linear performance, this is the superior choice for analyzing audio content or enjoying high-resolution files.
• Best for Shared Spaces → RR SPORTS IP68: Since the sound does not leak out significantly and the ears remain open, it is less intrusive in a shared workspace compared to the open-back design of the Sennheiser which projects sound outward.
I would personally choose the RR SPORTS IP68 for my daily routine, especially when I am working from a busy household or planning to be outdoors. While the Sennheiser is an incredible piece of engineering for pure sound, the reality of modern life often requires flexibility. The ability to swim, run, or walk down the street while keeping my ears open to my surroundings is too valuable to give up. That said, if my sole focus was sitting at a quiet desk for a webinar and I needed the absolute best possible clarity and immersion, I would switch back to the Sennheiser HD 560 immediately. For a general-purpose headset for webinars that doubles as a fitness companion, the versatility of the RR SPORTS IP68 wins out.
Yes, both work well for webinars depending on your environment. The Sennheiser HD 560 offers superior clarity and detail for a quiet room, while the RR SPORTS IP68 is better for shared spaces due to its open-ear design that prevents sound leakage and maintains situational awareness.
Absolutely. The RR SPORTS IP68 is rated IP68, meaning it is fully waterproof and can withstand submersion in up to 2 meters of water, making it safe for swimming and showering, unlike the standard Sennheiser model.
Given the 120-ohm impedance, the Sennheiser HD 560 benefits significantly from a dedicated headphone amplifier or audio interface to deliver its full potential, whereas the RR SPORTS IP68 has its own internal power and does not require external amplification.
The RR SPORTS IP68 offers up to 7 hours of battery life on a single charge with Bluetooth or MP3 mode. The Amazon Renewed Sennheiser HD 560 is a passive, wired device with no battery, meaning it will play as long as you have a signal source connected to the 3.3-meter cable.
