We value your trust and are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use the Amazon MiniTV & MX Player Ad Blocker Chrome Extension (the "Extension").
By installing and using this Extension, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
We believe in absolute user privacy.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
We do not track your browsing history, search queries, IP addresses, or device identifiers.
We do not record what videos you watch, how long you stream, or your account credentials.
All network request filtering and DOM-hiding processes run entirely locally on your machine. No user data is ever sent to us or any third party.
The Extension requires specific browser permissions to perform its core functions. These permissions are strictly used to block ads and save your preferences locally. Here is how we handle them:
Storage Permission (chrome.storage.local):
What we access: Local browser storage allocated specifically to this Extension.
How we use it: We store your extension settings (e.g., whether the blocker is toggled "ON" or "OFF") and local counters (the total number of ads blocked and the number of ads blocked in the current session).
Data Privacy: This data is stored strictly on your device and is never shared, synced, or sent to external servers.
Declarative Net Request Permission (declarativeNetRequest / declarativeNetRequestFeedback):
What we access: Network request triggers for streaming tabs (Amazon MiniTV and MX Player).
How we use it: We use pre-defined JSON rules to block calls to known ad-serving networks (such as DoubleClick, Google IMA SDK, Amazon Ad System, and tracker scripts) before they can load. The feedback permission is only used to count blocked requests for the local stats dashboard.
Data Privacy: No network logs, URLs visited, or request data are stored or transmitted.
Active Tab Permission (activeTab):
What we access: Temporary access to the currently active tab when you trigger the Extension.
How we use it: We use this to establish communication between the extension popup and the content script on the page (e.g., to notify the page when the blocker is toggled ON/OFF).
Data Privacy: Temporary and limited to the active tab only. No tab data or history is captured.
The Extension does not use any third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics), advertisement networks, or remote tracking scripts. The Extension is completely self-contained.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to align with new browser requirements or Chrome Web Store developer guidelines. Any changes will be updated on this page and reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
