who saw your love in my eyes?

none would admit, i'm surprised.

i hid for a week in denial,

carried the death of a child.

you. you walked past me like a post.

swift it was for you, 

quick to anchor my soul.

you. you said you'd talk to me soon.

talked to the old-younger you,

cause you're too old to care.

i felt two of myself,

filled the spot you had left. 

walked alongside to ask if i'm fine.

i couldn't break, i had no time.

you couldn't stay,  you had more lies.

i had to wake my inner child to feel you.

i had to make my inner child grieve you.

i couldn't admit it, i couldn't have seen it.

you planned it all out, 

i figured that out within two weeks.

i still see you leaving,

long since  you left..
