Jaded | March 23, 2025 (17:58) |
tried beating around the bush,
found a way to kill two birds with a stone.
the plague was always preventable,
caught it anyway, denying all the clues.
that's not love, that's theft.
unoriginal but i said what i said.
the stolen beam, the lit up eyes
the rosy cheeks are to surmise
she ruined her own surprise.
i'm sat here jaded,
the lights were on as i played detective.
knew too much in a week,
in five days they bagged for keeps.
yet, i wore his life first
oversized 'til it styled the worst.
yes, i wore his sadness first
it was a war between promises and my worth.
that's not love, that's theft.
you can be proud 'cause i'm deprived of rest.
if it's love, i'll tell them how it's theft
five days after break-up
plus warnings yet she never cared.
i tried to fix the mess with him,
changed the sheets of my master's bed,
there was an uninvited guest, what happened?
well you won't have to guess.
he's jaded and i'm jaded for the rest of the year,
he's jaded and i'm jaded for the rest of the year.
she's Jade and they'll be jaded by the end of the year.
that's not love, that's theft.
don't think i'll soon enough forget.
