IMACC

The Illinois Mathematics Association of Community Colleges is a nonprofit educational association. The purpose is to encourage and develop innovative mathematics programs, to afford a medium of interchange of views regarding mathematics and mathematics education, to encourage and promote the cooperative study of problems relating to mathematics and the teaching of mathematics, especially at the community college level, and to seek solutions thereof.

InMATYC

The Indiana Regional Mathematics Consortium (IRMC) was incorporated as an Indiana Not-For-Profit Corporation in 1976. Marvin Bittinger, Professor and book author, was one of the original 19 members of the Board of Directors. The IRMC adopted its current name - the Indiana Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges (InMATYC) - in 2001 to more closely align its name with the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC). Currently, the InMATYC has four officers and a 9-member Board of Directors.

KYMATYC

The Kentucky Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges is a statewide organization open to teachers of mathematics on the college level and to all other persons who share an interest in mathematics. KYMATYC goals include establishing and maintaining consistency in course content and placement, dialoguing about the success and/or failure of innovations, offering professional development opportunities, exchanging information about available positions, and providing the opportunity for collegial exchange.

MichMATYC

On May 2, 1981, thirteen two-year college instructors met at the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) Michigan section meeting at Oakland University. Karen Sharp called the meeting, explaining the need for a Michigan section of the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC). The organization was founded to provide a venue for interaction between the mathematics faculties at community colleges across the State of Michigan. An opportunity to share ideas, consolidate resources, and plan for the future needs of community college students in the state became primary functions of MichMATYC, as well as connecting to university mathematics.

OhioMATYC

OhioMATYC (Ohio Mathematics Association of Two Year Colleges) is a non-profit association whose mission is:

  1. To represent its membership and advocate for the mathematics faculty of Two-Year Colleges and Regional Campuses in the State of Ohio to AMATYC ( American Mathematical Association of Two – Year Colleges ), the State of Ohio, and to other similar professional organizations.

  2. To foster dialogue among and provide professional development to the mathematics faculty in the State of Ohio.

  3. To support the goals of the national organization AMATYC in its capacity as the state – wide affiliate for Ohio.

  4. To support the success of Two-Year College and Regional Campus students by all means available within the association’s ability.

WisMATYC

The Wisconsin Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges is a nonprofit, educational association. The purpose is to encourage and develop innovative mathematics programs, to afford a medium of interchange of views on mathematics and mathematics education, to encourage and promote the cooperative study of problems relating to mathematics and the teaching of mathematics, especially at the two-year college level, and to seek solutions thereof.
