Amanda M. Shigihara is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at California State University Sacramento. In the Sociology Department, she is the Graduate Program Coordinator and the Sociology Club Faculty Advisor. Prior to joining Sacramento State, Shigihara was an Assistant Professor at SUNY Old Westbury in New York. Her teaching and research areas include social psychology, deviance, crime and law, and the life course. Some of the classes she teaches include Social Psychology, Sociology of Deviance, Criminology, Research Design and Analysis, and Research Methods.
