Bytech ("we", "our", or "us") operates the ALPS mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

We DO NOT collect, store, or share your personal information. Our application operates primarily locally on your device to communicate with ALPS hardware via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

1. Information Collection and Use

While using our Service, the app requires certain device permissions to function correctly. We do not transmit this data to our servers or any third-party servers.

a. Location Data (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION)

Our app requires Location permissions to scan for nearby Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices. This is a strict requirement by the Android Operating System.

• Why we need it: To find and connect to the ALPS hardware's Wi-Fi Access Point (SSID) and Bluetooth signals.

• Privacy Guarantee: We do not track your physical location, nor do we store or share your GPS coordinates. The location permission is strictly used for local network scanning.

b. Bluetooth Data (BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT)

• Why we need it: To discover, pair, and exchange configuration data with ALPS IoT hardware via BLE.

• Privacy Guarantee: No data transmitted over Bluetooth is collected or sent to remote servers.

c. Local Storage (READ/WRITE EXTERNAL STORAGE)

• Why we need it: To download and save Firmware update files (.bin) and configuration files (.txt) directly to your device's Download folder.

• Privacy Guarantee: We do not read your personal photos, media, or other private files. We only access the files generated or downloaded by our app.

d. Internet & Network State

• Why we need it: To download firmware updates from our secure server and to force network binding when configuring the IoT device's Wi-Fi.

2. Third-Party Services

We do not use any third-party tracking, analytics, or advertising services (such as Google Analytics or Facebook SDK) that collect your personal data.

3. Data Security

The security of your data is important to us. Since we do not collect or store your personal data on our servers, there is no risk of your data being leaked from our side. All communication happens securely and locally between your phone and the ALPS hardware.

4. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
