I am a Professor in the Department of Economics, McMaster University and Chair of Graduate Studies.
My Research Interests are in the general areas of Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics.
Recently I have been working on sovereign default models, policy reform, as well as closed and open economy business cycles.
My work with Cesar Sosa-Padilla and Ionut Cotoc on politics and sovereign debt was covered in the NBER Digest recently .
My latest paper, "Sovereign Default, Foreign Exchange-in-Advance Constraints, and Endogenous Default Costs" was influenced by the events around the Sri Lankan default crisis.
